00:00 How do you feel about the new team?
00:05 It's been good so far. The team's taken care of me, the guys have taken care of me. It's been a good experience so far, so I'm super happy with it.
00:12 I'm just looking to get started here. Pre-season's fun, but I want to get some real games going.
00:18 Your move here has probably been made all a bit easier because you kind of know the coach Ryan from a few years back, plus one-year-old teammates from back in Canada is here with you as well in Noah McMullen.
00:29 Does that help the sort of transition, the move?
00:32 It certainly helps. Having someone you know definitely makes life easier right away, but the guys in the locker room have been great and accepting, so it's all been good so far.
00:40 Are you impressed with what you've seen so far?
00:42 Yeah. Obviously, these guys are all here for a reason. We're here to play hockey, we're all pretty good at it, and we've earned this shot, so everyone out here has been exactly what I expected.
00:54 Now, talk about expectations and what have you. Given what happened last year with Leeds winning the league and winning the playoffs, there'll obviously be a great level of expectation coming into the season.
01:03 How has a team - and you've done this in the past, you've won titles in the past - how has a team, when you've won something, how do you deal with that expectation the following year?
01:10 I think obviously you know the guys that were here, they know how to win now, so that's a big thing and carrying that over into the next year.
01:18 Obviously, when you don't win, you want to bring it into the locker room, and once it's in the locker room, you want to keep it there.
01:24 So, the big thing is we'll do everything we can to make sure that it doesn't have to leave our locker room and we can keep it for another year.
01:30 And you yourself? You sort of can see your main strengths as a player. What do you feel you can bring to the table?
01:37 I play solid on both ends of the ice, but I think I try and be more offensive. I think if I can do that, it'll help the team a lot, but I'm just trying to do whatever is needed of me, really.
