00:00 How was that game this past weekend that you saw?
00:03 What'd you think of that game, Michigan?
00:05 I mean, you had JJ throw, what, three interceptions.
00:10 The running game was seen, it was seen.
00:14 It's not on the milk carton anymore,
00:15 so it's something to put your mark on.
00:18 But, I mean, what did you think of that game?
00:21 - I actually think Jim Harbaugh being gone
00:23 was a lot more important and impactful
00:26 than I thought it would be, like a lot more.
00:28 - Yeah, I understand that.
00:29 I, well, I stated that.
00:32 - It is, yeah.
00:33 - We all agree on that one.
00:35 - Yeah, I, you know, I mean, outcome-wise,
00:37 I was like, it's not gonna matter, they're gonna win.
00:39 But they looked different without him down there
00:42 patrolling the sidelines.
00:43 And I think it'll change this week.
00:45 You know, Michigan's favored by a lot over Rutgers.
00:47 I think too much, actually.
00:48 I think Rutgers is a decent team,
00:49 but we'll see what that looks like.
00:51 But no, it was, it was version three, you know,
00:54 or chapter three of the three chapters
00:57 of the non-conference schedule.
00:58 That's how it looked to me.
01:00 I don't know, I wasn't that shocked by anything.
01:02 Nothing really surprised me other than JJ's bad day.
01:06 'Cause he was, I mean, incredible for the first two games.
01:09 He was, you know, they were comparing how many,
01:11 you know, touchdowns versus incompletions he had,
01:15 not touchdowns versus interceptions.
01:17 So, you know, aside from that, just get to three and O
01:21 and here's big 10 play, let's roll.
01:23 And then getting Jim Harbaugh back.
01:24 I think those are all, those three things right there
01:27 will have them looking sharper than they did,
01:30 certainly in week three and maybe more complete
01:34 and more ready to play.
01:35 And no disrespect to those other three teams,
01:37 but quote unquote, real football,
01:39 like that, like conference opponent, home game,
01:42 Harbaugh's back.
01:43 It's, I feel like it will look more normal on Saturday.
01:46 So no, I actually have no worries.
01:48 I'm just ready to see them like really go with,
01:52 I would like to see that for at least a quarter
01:54 against those other teams, but they just didn't do it.
01:56 They just had no interest in doing it with Harbaugh out
02:00 and maybe guys a little bit dinged up.
02:01 So I'm anxious to see it on Saturday.
02:04 It's been weird.
02:05 Like that's a weird three weeks for a program
02:08 that is so much, so Harbaugh driven.
02:12 And I think a lot of people probably took that for granted.
02:15 I do think him coming back is,
02:17 hearing the players talk about it last night
02:20 and earlier this week and just how it's been brought up
02:22 and mentioned by the coaches quite a bit too.
02:25 I think a lot of people really in the opponents
02:28 that Michigan was playing through the first three weeks,
02:30 I think a lot of people really underestimated
02:32 just how much of a organizer and a galvanizer
02:37 that Jim Harbaugh is on game day.
02:39 'Cause he's been there through the weeks, right?
02:41 He's been at practices.
02:42 - Right.
02:43 - But game day, running out of the tunnel
02:46 with your head coach right there.
02:47 And then you look to him anytime you need to
02:49 on the sideline.
02:50 I think it's big.
02:51 I think it's really big and a lot bigger
02:53 than I thought it was gonna be.
02:54 Like the ripple effect I think
02:56 was probably underestimated too.
02:57 So you've got, all right, so let's take the last game.
03:00 Sharone is your head coach.
03:02 So that means he's not quite being able to do
03:04 what he normally does with his offensive linemen.
03:06 So then maybe Grant Newsome's helping out
03:08 a little bit there, which takes away
03:10 what he's doing with the tight ends.
03:12 And it just, there's a little bit kind of going on
03:14 in every direction when people are picking up
03:17 just a little bit of slack.
03:18 And I don't think it was monumental,
03:21 but I think we saw it.
03:22 I think that's a pretty good explanation
03:25 for why some things looked how they looked.
03:27 Like I don't, I'm not talking about JJ's rough day.
03:30 I think he just had a bad day.
03:31 But just the overall continuity, the rhythm, the flow,
03:36 you know, the slow starts, the, I don't know.
03:38 I feel like Harbaugh's gonna bring a lot of that
03:41 back together on Saturday.
