00:00 Brandon Brown from Wolverine digest back again here week two of the college football season
00:08 week one of the NFL season, baby lions getting her going tonight against the chiefs. I know.
00:14 Yeah, yeah, yeah. We know that Trent's a, a weird, you know, Minnesota Vikings fan living
00:20 in Ohio. We can't figure the guy out, but hopefully Trent has figured out some betting,
00:26 betting tips today because he, he texted me the pics. He said, there you go, Brandon,
00:31 three winners. So you're feeling good, I guess. Right. Feeling pretty good. I'm pretty confident
00:35 this week. What I think last week I went two and two, but no, this week we have three winners.
00:41 Brandon's probably going to go. Oh, and three, you know, I didn't, I'm not real sure, but
00:45 just a, just a hunch. We'll see. We'll see how they go. So last week. Yeah. So again,
00:49 last week was our first week. We didn't really have like a set approach. We kind of just
00:53 threw some stuff towards each other. Now we're going to, we're organizing it down a little
00:57 bit. It's going to be three picks each a week. We're going to do a player parlay. We're going
01:01 to do a winner's pick, and then we're going to do a Michigan specific pick every week.
01:05 We're going to track whether we win or lose. Like again, last week we didn't, we didn't
01:09 have the graphics ready. We didn't have exactly the format figured out. We, so this week's
01:15 going to be better. And then next week I think we'll be even better and it'll continue to
01:19 go that way. At least in terms of our presentation and what we're doing, the picks, you know,
01:24 that remains to be seen. I think I either went to two and two last week or two and three.
01:29 Cause again, I couldn't remember if I did four or five. I did a pens. I did other bets
01:34 that we didn't talk about on the show. And that's why I couldn't remember like which
01:38 one's hit and which ones didn't. I know both of our big parlay winner's picks did not hit
01:44 or mine. I had 11 Lager TCU, Texas tech and Clemson all lost. I think you, did you have
01:49 just one leg? Yeah, I had 14 teams and I had one night, which was Texas tech. You lost
01:55 in double over time. Yeah. So both of our big parlays did not hit. My Michigan pick
02:01 was terrible. I had Michigan by 28 and a half and Blake Corum to score two touchdowns. Neither
02:05 of those hit. But I did hit on the, like I said, Penn state by nine and a half drew out
02:11 over 200 yards and Nicholas Singleton to score a touchdown.
02:15 What was your other, what were your two winning picks Trent that you had from last week? If
02:19 you were, if you recall. Yeah. The, the two winners I had was Washington minus nine over
02:25 Boise and then Colorado plus 20. Yeah. That seemed like a no brainer dude. And then not
02:31 only did they cover, but they won straight up. Like when I saw that spread, I'm like,
02:36 man, Colorado, 20 and a half. Like that just seemed weird. Yeah, I agree. I agree. It seemed
02:41 like a lot. I remember when you threw it up there, I was like, yeah, that does look pretty
02:44 good. I don't think TCU is going to be that good. I obviously think Colorado is going
02:47 to be improved and obviously it went in a very different direction.
02:51 Yeah. When an outright. All right. So our picks this week, Trent, we have a player prop
02:57 winners. And I think in, in winners, you also might have like a spread thing. So that's
03:02 going to be like focusing on the entire game, whether it's a winner pick or the number spread
03:06 or the overall over, under whatever. And then a Michigan specific one. So let's get started
03:10 with our player prop moving forward into week two. So Trent's picks are on the right, the
03:17 dark background minor on the left with the light background. I stole your Shadur Sanders
03:23 two passing touchdowns. As soon as you sent that to me, I'm like, yeah, he's going to
03:26 do that. Like every week I feel like they're at home this week. Nebraska's defense doesn't
03:31 seem to be all that stout. So we both have Shadur Sanders for two passing touchdowns.
03:35 I also had a Jeff Sims pick last week, the running back, I'm sorry, the quarterback for
03:40 Nebraska. I picked the only needed 25 yards. I think he had 85 in the first half and finished
03:46 with over a hundred. So I'm going back to that. Well, this week, I don't think Colorado's
03:50 defense is worth a flip. They gave up 42 points to a, you know, to a much diminished TCU team.
03:56 So I think Jeff Sims will run for 50 yards easy. And then Audrey estimate that's Notre
04:01 Dame's big running back. They're going to pound the ball. They want to do a lot like
04:05 what Michigan does. And I think they'll be able to run the ball against NC state. So
04:08 there is my plus one 55 three game Parlay plus what do you got?
04:13 All right, man. So a Shadur, I mean, that's pretty, pretty self-explanatory. He threw
04:18 for what five last week, I think. Yeah. Yeah. So you got that one, Sam Hartman over one
04:25 and a half touchdowns. I feel like Notre Dame is a much more improved offense with Hartman
04:31 back there. And I watched a lot of that NC state Yukon game last Thursday and I was,
04:36 I'm not overly impressed with NC state. So I think Hartman Hartman can kind of shred
04:41 that defense. And then we're going back with Blake Horum over 78 and a half rushing yards.
04:48 I feel like Michigan is going to try to pound the rock a little bit and he should be able
04:52 to get it. Yeah. I don't think Michigan's going to have as much trouble running the
04:55 ball this week. And I think Blake was right around that number against ECU, even though
05:00 they were stacking the box all day. I think he was around 70 yards. He had the one long
05:03 one that bumped his total up. So yeah, I like it. There's, I mean, look, I think mine's
05:08 a winner. Trent thinks his is a winner. We're all trying to find winners. That's the whole
05:11 point here. So let's move on to winners or money line or score picks here. So I just
05:17 went straight up winners. Just pick the winner, pick the money line and four different games.
05:22 You mixed it up just a bit with that Oregon alternate spread down there. I'll let you
05:25 get to that in a minute. So I've got Notre Dame straight up over NC state, even though
05:29 it is on the road. I've got Utah straight up over Baylor. Look, Baylor lost the Texas
05:35 state last week. I'm not sure what they're doing in Utah. Looked really good. Even without
05:38 their starting quarterback against Florida. I think that's a, that's a no brainer. Iowa
05:43 going to Iowa state. Hey, the fighting Kate McNamara's man. They look pretty impressive.
05:47 He leaks. He looks like he has added something to that offense. I'll take the Hawkeyes there.
05:52 And then, or again, Texas tech lost a bad one too. So you got Oregon who scored like
05:56 a billion points in week one to travel to Texas and win that one. It's cut off the screen,
06:01 but that is a plus two 75 for those four wins. Oh, Trent may have froze. Okay. I'm back.
06:12 Okay. Trent's been having a little bit of a technical difficulties on his end, but I
06:16 think he's back now. Trent, what do you got for your winners? All right. So we got Kansas
06:20 straight up, straight up over Illinois. Jalen Daniels is supposed to be back. And he was
06:28 fun. I'm a liar. One strolled. So I like Kansas at home. We're going to go back to the Colorado.
06:34 Well, Nebraska was not impressive last week. So give me Colorado and Deion Sanders. And
06:40 then lastly, I got Oregon minus two and a half over Texas tech. And I would be darned
06:45 if Texas tech messes me up two straight weeks.
06:48 Yeah, I don't, I don't think that I think Oregon's just way too much for Texas tech.
06:52 I know they're improved on defense, but you like Colorado over Nebraska, huh? At home,
06:57 you think the bus get it done again? Huh? Dude. Yeah. It's their home opener. That place
07:01 is going to be crazy. The fans are going to be ready. And I think that I feel like Colorado's
07:06 offense is going to be for real. I'm anxious to watch that one. Actually. I think that's,
07:11 that's a noon. Yeah. Noon game. So we'll be able to catch some of that before we head
07:15 off to Michigan's three 30 kick this week. So yeah, looking forward to that. Speaking
07:18 of Michigan hosting UNLV three 30 kick at the big house. Here are our Michigan specific
07:25 picks. I have both Donovan Edwards and Blake Coram getting in the end zone for a touchdown
07:31 should have happened in week one. Blake did score once Donovan got stuffed at the goal
07:36 line. I don't think they're going to let that happen again. I think they're going to want
07:39 to get Donovan's confidence up. So he's going to find his way into the end zone and Blake
07:43 Coram has some of the most ridiculous odds for a touchdown score I've ever seen. He is
07:48 minus 1700 to score a touchdown, which is like bananas. That's a, that's a such a, it's
07:54 almost like so likely you shouldn't even use it. But I do think that both of them are going
07:58 to get in the end zone. I have Michigan at minus 29 and a half, which means they have
08:02 to win the game by 30 or more. I think they will do that this week against UNLV who should
08:07 not put up as much resistance as ECU. And then I have the alternate total at 57 and
08:12 a half because I think, you know, it could, if Michigan wins, you know, I don't know,
08:18 45 to 10, they still, that still wouldn't be a, that still wouldn't be enough to get
08:22 that total points. So that's just a, it's just a lot of points. The clock is a little
08:26 bit faster. Michigan's still going to want to run the ball. I think 57 and a half is
08:30 a safe number for the total points. What you got.
08:32 All right. So I want to note that I'm using draft Kings and player props. We're not on
08:38 there. So I kind of had to use a different approach with this. We got over 37 and a half
08:44 points for Michigan. They scored 30 last week and I feel like they're going to score more.
08:49 So that's my thinking there. UNLV under 15 and a half. I'm doing the alternate total
08:57 points of 48 and a half over. And then I've got UNLV plus 46 and a half. I think UNLV
09:03 has got a good enough offense that they're going to score a little bit on Michigan. So
09:07 I think 46 and a half is a huge spread.
09:11 It's just such a massive number. The alternate spreads are cool. Cause you can get a decent
09:14 range for, you know, a minus 300 or minus 400 or something like that. Maybe even up
09:19 to minus two or 100 if you want. And then it, it adds to your parlay and hopefully it
09:25 gets you into that plus number. So there you go. Mine's plus three 54 trend. Do you remember
09:28 what your, your total odds were for that parlay? I know I didn't ask you that ahead of time.
09:33 So to put me on the spot a little bit here, yeah, it was plus two 60 plus two 60. So there
09:38 you go. So they think Trent's is a little more likely. That's probably because of the
09:40 specific touchdown score picks that I have, but there you have it. Week two picks, place
09:46 your bets in the books and look at that. Like people can listen and watch this for 10 minutes
09:50 and they don't even have to see our faces like that. That's a nice thing too. So happy
09:56 betting everybody gamble responsibly. That's what Trent and I are on this week. We will
10:00 see you again on next Thursday before the college week kicks off. We will review our
10:06 picks from this week and give you our next ones. Thanks for paying attention to us. Thanks.
