00:00 We're in our 46th year this year, something that's unique to Orange.

00:03 And we have 30 men and women vying for what they call the King and Queen of Sport title.

00:08 We compete over between 20 and 22 events over eight days, starting the

00:13 18th of November this year, Saturday to Sunday inclusive and yeah it's just a whole lot of fun.

00:19 It's a points tally. If you come first out of 30 you get 30 points, if you come last you get one

00:25 point and if you don't compete you get zero. And at the end of the eight days it's the person with

00:31 the most points wins the either King or Queen of Sport. So even if you're rubbish at something you

00:36 still need to give it a go because it's yeah you gotta you know we encourage everybody to participate

00:40 in every event you get the it's an opportunity to try many sports or activities you'd never ever

00:45 think of trying especially some of the mysteries that get thrown up each year and I think the key

00:49 is for the week you're just being consistent Dave don't you reckon? Yeah. You can run with people

00:53 that never won an event that have been the king have won the King of Sport before so just being

00:57 consistent without winning an event or a week it can be done. The mystery sports we can't disclose

01:02 them at this stage but in the past we've had things like frisbees and um bulls and motorized eskies

01:10 we've got the wonder bikes which comes out every now and then it's an oldie but a goodie and

01:16 something for new competitors never seen one before that it's a bit daunting but it's all

01:20 good fun once you give it a go. Four years together it's been four years four years yeah

01:24 four years and I've been competing this week. Oh this year will be four years? This will be my

01:28 ninth year competing it's a week of fun sports that you don't get to do on a daily basis

01:33 it's a good experience. It's challenging and you get challenged by doing different sports

01:39 with a group of people that you don't know but by the end of the eight days you know them and you

01:45 just have fun.
