Police are appealing for information after two pigs heads at a pub in Birtley. The southern underbridge on Junction 66 of the A1 will be closed next weekend to remove a beam beneath the bridge. And finally Northumberland County Council have launched its new state of the art solar car ports at their offices.

00:10 Police received a report of a vehicle pulling up outside the coach and horses and a number
00:14 of people were causing damage.
00:16 The offenders left two pig heads at the scene.
00:19 The scene has now been cleared and police are investigating the incident.
00:22 The southern underbridge on junction 66 of the A1 will be closed next weekend to remove
00:27 a beam underneath the bridge.
00:29 The work is part of the Burtley to the Coal House Improvement Scheme and was meant to
00:33 start last weekend but it had to be postponed due to nesting birds on the site.
00:37 And finally, Northumberland County Council have launched its new state-of-the-art solar
00:41 car ports at their offices.
00:43 The £3.8 million project includes a canopy made from PV panels and it is estimated that
00:48 250 tonnes of carbon emissions will be saved each year.
