00:00Now, Wrexham are on the brink of making history with a third straight promotion now within touching distance.
00:09Their recent run of form has propelled them into a commanding position and belief is growing that they could achieve what only a handful of clubs have managed in modern football.
00:20Momentum has been key. A blend of experience, energy and relentless drivers push Wrexham through to fixtures with every player stepping up when it mattered most.
00:30We take a closer look at how Wrexham's rise hasn't just been about high profile owners or headline moments.
00:35It's been built on smart recruitment, a clear identity and a squad full of character.
00:40The connection between the team and the supporters have never been stronger and the pressure of expectation has only seemed to fuel their charge.
00:48And with each victory, the dream of back to back to back promotions edges closer to reality.
00:54So, Rich, I'm sure like many Wrexham supporters after the Easter Bank holiday weekend going into it, it's obviously one of them which can massively turn the tables in terms of confidence, momentum ahead of the running.
01:10I mean, Wrexham have come out with four points from six, a massive turnaround away at Blackpool as well.
01:17I mean, to go there and get some quickfire goals.
01:21James McLean, obviously, with a really important one as well.
01:23And then Olly Rathburn wrapping it up.
01:26A massive three points.
01:27It puts them in favour.
01:29And then if you also look around them, you know, the likes of Wickham had a terrible result against Charlton as well.
01:35So, sort of everything went a bit more towards Rexham's favour.
01:39You know, you sometimes do need a bit of luck.
01:42But, you know, three promotions, back to back to back, first time in English top five league history, if it is to be pulled off.
01:50I mean, that's not lucky at all.
01:51That's been an amazing journey so far.
01:53And we're almost very close to seeing it happen.
01:57Exactly. I think it's one of those that you've got the chance now at history.
02:02Nobody can take that away from you.
02:03If you manage to go and do it and do what no team has ever done before, you've set the standard.
02:08And you might, you know, rival fans will point towards maybe the money spent.
02:11They'll point towards, you know, the Hollywood investment in the club.
02:14But you've still got to actually go out there and do it.
02:17And, you know, Rexham are always told when they're in the National League, well, you've got a League One calibre squad.
02:21Now they're proving that maybe it's a Championship calibre squad because they've got that perfect blend of youth.
02:26And they've got a manager who hasn't got carried away during any of the journey.
02:32Phil Parkinson is the perfect antidote, really, to all the Hollywood circuses that were, you know, around the club.
02:39He is just a very good lower league manager and someone who has got promotion from League One before.
02:45This would be maybe, you know, the most impressive given that it will have been on the back of two others.
02:50And it has been an absolute whirlwind ride.
02:53I mean, this week was the two-year anniversary of winning the National League.
02:58And, you know, to have that, you know, it doesn't sound right that Rexham got promoted from National League in 2023.
03:04But that is, that's how recent it was that they were playing in the National League two years ago and it could be in the Championship this year.
03:10So it is just, it's amazing.
03:14You just can't, I know people say, oh, it's Hollywood, you could write it.
03:18But to actually go out and do it is just something else.
03:20And I don't think Rexham will ever get the credit they deserve if they go and achieve it.
03:24But like I said, it's still got to be done.
03:26Rexham are back in control now.
03:27They lost their place in the driving seat after they drew with Bristol Rovers on Good Friday.
03:33But by Easter Monday, they'd resurrected themselves.
03:35You know, it was a fantastic win.
03:36Arguably the most comprehensive away win under Phil Parkinson ever, really.
03:42Rexham are a better team start to finish.
03:44Could have won by three or four goals.
03:45In the end, it was only one goal that they had over Blackpool.
03:49But it was a monumental day in the automatic promotion hunt.
03:53And yeah, Rexham are back in control.
03:54Given all the permutations, they could win one game this weekend to be promoted.
03:59They could actually lose both the last two games and still get promoted.
04:02So there's so much up to play for.
04:04Loads of teams are playing one another.
04:06It is going to be hold onto your hat stuff for the next couple of weeks.
04:09Rexham are probably going to record what is going to be within their top seven ever finishes
04:15in the sort of 161 year history of the club.
04:18The seventh best ever finish, whatever happens now.
04:21And, you know, he deserves so much credit for that because to get promoted from the National League
04:26was one thing that felt like something unachievable at the time.
04:30And now dreaming of the championship.
04:32And if they can get to the championship, why would they not dream of getting to the Premier League?
04:36It sounds ludicrous, but we've seen what's happened in the last three years.
04:39Why can that not be the goal for next season even?
