This week the Princess Theatre stage is set to explode as Launceston College unleashes the
next generation of talent in their 2023 production of Be More Chill.

00:00 Jeremy's a real geek, you know, he's quite a loser.
00:07 He gets pimpled around the school on a day to day basis, just being bullied and picked
00:22 on.
00:23 And then Jeremy comes along and he, yeah, steals her heart.
00:30 He's not like me, I'd say, as a person, which is great in terms of acting.
00:40 So I get to play something completely different.
00:45 I use a lot of my excitement into her.
00:50 She has a lot of energy, so it's a very high demanding role when it comes to that, but
00:54 I've got it.
00:55 The opening song is probably one of my favourites, personally, because obviously I'm singing
01:04 it the whole time.
01:05 It's like ten minutes long, so it's really tiring, but in the end it's a big payoff to
01:11 hear the audience's reaction to it.
01:17 In the rehearsal process we've had a lot of talks about the journey and the themes and
01:22 the meaning of the musical, and I think the one thing that stuck with me is the message
01:27 of being yourself and not trying to change for anybody else or to impress anyone else,
01:31 and that's been a really big thing that we've all had to honour.
