04:44 She has made a big difference to the children in her area and is a shining example of how

05:11 She has worked hard to bridge the complementary feeding gap despite several challenges.

06:41 Our next Nutrition Warrior is also an Asha from Rajasthan who has worked to enhance mother's
06:46 nutrition and complete coverage in her area.
06:50 From Badgaon block of Udaipur district, the Outlook Portion 2019 Nutrition Warrior, Ms.

07:09 This is not an award.
07:11 It's a thanksgiving.
07:12 It's a tribute.
07:13 It's a flower offered at the feet of a legend.
07:17 Very few people in this country have worked so tirelessly for the cause of agricultural
07:20 development and nutrition as a Living Legend Awardee.
07:25 Ladies and gentlemen, let us today honor one of the great sons of India, the Outlook Portion
07:30 Living Legend Awardee 2019, Padma Vibhushan, Mr. M.S.

07:38 We are honored to have with us today his daughter, Professor Nitya Rao, Professor of Gender Development,
07:44 University of East Anglia.

07:50 I feel happy when some award or recognition like the Living Legend Award of Outlook is
07:58 given, largely because it makes me feel that I'm on the right track.
08:03 It gives you some satisfaction that you have lived a life worth living.
08:09 We are facing many challenges in the area of achieving nutrition security.
08:14 We need a protein revolution.
08:16 We need a nutrition revolution now.
08:20 That is where we should ensure that the government announcement in the food security bill.
08:27 My main message is that we should all now work together for three reasons.
08:32 First, it is achievable.
08:34 Secondly, we will be doing a great injustice to children if we don't provide the malnutrition.
08:40 Thirdly, if you want to have a nation of healthy people, because an unhealthy life also leads
08:48 to unhealthy minds.
08:57 In addition to the awardees, the jury decided to have some special mentions.

09:06 from the Honorable Vice President, sir.

09:14 of Rural Poverty, SERP, Andhra Pradesh.

09:23 The society has worked with disadvantaged groups on health and nutrition aspects in

09:42 for their work to make health more accessible to all.

09:55 The special jury mention for social enterprise individual goes to Adhunika Prakash for her
10:02 initiative for breastfeeding support among women.
10:25 In social enterprise institution, the special jury mention goes to Centre for Aquatic Livelihood,
10:34 Jal Jeevika.

10:42 Jal Jeevika is working to promote livelihoods among fishermen.

11:56 In the category of urban nutrition institution, the special jury award goes to Cuddles Foundation.

12:23 Another special jury mention for urban nutrition institution goes to the Akshaya Patra Foundation,
12:29 which is ensuring quality midday meals to children.
