00:00 Stop! Just stop and think.
00:02 Because you're communicating to millions of people.
00:04 Welcome to WatchMojo.
00:06 And today, we're counting down our picks
00:08 for the top 10 times Joe Rogan
00:10 stood up to guests on the Joe
00:12 Rogan Experience.
00:14 Explain to people what you're talking about.
00:16 I just did. They know what I'm talking about.
00:18 No, no, no. They don't. They don't, because I don't know.
00:20 For this list, we'll be looking at heated moments
00:22 when this podcast host clapped back,
00:24 stood his ground, or just completely
00:26 lost it when speaking to guests
00:28 on his show.
00:30 Which moment on this list is your favorite?
00:32 Let us know below.
00:34 Number 10.
00:36 Brian Redban.
00:38 If there's one faux pas
00:40 that Joe Rogan can't tolerate
00:42 on his show, it's excessive
00:44 self-promotion. Former producer
00:46 and co-host of the Joe Rogan Experience,
00:48 Brian Redban, unfortunately
00:50 learned this the hard way.
00:52 Near the end of an episode with
00:54 guest Justin Foster in attendance
00:56 back in 2012, Redban mentions
00:58 a stand-up show he did that was
01:00 well-received. Rogan didn't
01:02 take too kindly to this, and it
01:04 resulted in some long and awkward
01:06 bickering between the two. Foster
01:08 did what he could to diffuse the
01:10 palpable tension, but to no avail.
01:12 And the argument carried on
01:14 far longer than it needed to.
01:16 Redban was permanently replaced
01:18 by Jamie Vernon shortly
01:20 afterwards.
01:22 Number 9. Mark Gordon.
01:24 When Rogan had medical
01:26 consultant Mark Gordon on his show,
01:28 the latter discussed a particular
01:30 supplement called glutathione.
01:32 He claimed that it could not only
01:34 improve the overall efficiency
01:36 of one's liver in completing its
01:38 bodily functions, but also cure
01:40 hangovers and alleviate other side
01:42 effects from alcohol consumption.
01:44 "Well, it helps you with just about
01:46 anything that the liver's responsible for
01:48 digesting or metabolizing."
01:50 Rogan was skeptical about
01:52 Gordon's claims and was astounded.
01:54 He hammered Gordon, claiming
01:56 that he did not know what he was
01:58 talking about. He later stated
02:00 that he wished he was smarter so that
02:02 he could prove how wrong his
02:04 guest really was.
02:06 Number 8. Michaela
02:08 Peterson. When Michaela
02:10 Peterson, a podcast and the
02:12 daughter of famous psychologist and
02:14 internet celebrity Jordan Peterson
02:16 appeared on the show, the topic of
02:18 exercise came up. Speaking on
02:20 the matter, Peterson suggested that
02:22 overweight individuals don't have
02:24 the energy to exercise.
02:26 "I don't know about that.
02:28 Um, some of them maybe,
02:30 but I think some of them just don't have
02:32 discipline." Rogan disagreed
02:34 with the statement and went off on
02:36 Peterson. He argues for the merits
02:38 of focus and a forced adherence
02:40 to routine, and he believes that
02:42 those who don't exercise often
02:44 make excuses. "People are so crazy.
02:46 They want you to believe,
02:48 'I don't have the energy to exercise.'
02:50 God damn it, everyone does.
02:52 If you're alive, you can exercise."
02:54 It's a lengthy argument, and
02:56 while Peterson remained unconvinced,
02:58 Rogan makes sure she hears
03:00 what he has to say. And
03:02 as is sometimes the case, both
03:04 parties oversimplify the
03:06 issue. And the truth probably
03:08 lies somewhere in between
03:10 their two hot takes.
03:12 "But people like to give themselves this excuse,
03:14 'I do not have the energy to do this.'
03:16 Whatever.
03:18 If you decide that, that's true."
03:20 #7. Jamie Kilstein
03:22 During this comedian's appearance
03:26 on The Joe Rogan Experience,
03:28 the men discuss whether it was appropriate
03:30 to make jokes with regards to
03:32 sexual mistreatment. The argument
03:34 turns to whether this, or
03:36 murder, was the worse
03:38 crime, with Kilstein stating
03:40 the former was worse.
03:42 This soon spirals into a heated
03:44 debate that sets Rogan off.
03:46 He quickly loses his
03:48 temper and actually yells at
03:50 Kilstein, calling him crazy.
03:52 He then tells him that he's talking
03:54 nonsense.
03:56 It is one of the few
04:02 times that Rogan has truly
04:04 lost his cool on his
04:06 show.
04:12 #6. Milo Yiannopoulos
04:14 This guest is a prominent
04:16 far-right figure who is most known
04:18 for his many controversial
04:20 stances, to the point that it resulted
04:22 in him being banned on several
04:24 social media platforms.
04:26 As such, it was only a matter
04:34 of time before their conversation
04:36 got contentious. But the whole
04:38 thing went completely off the rails
04:40 when they both began discussing
04:42 Christianity.
04:44 When Yiannopoulos
04:58 described religion, specifically the
05:00 Bible, as being the definitive guide
05:02 to determining what is morally right
05:04 and wrong, Rogan lost it.
05:06 Rogan countered Yiannopoulos' beliefs,
05:08 the latter of whom attempted to end
05:10 the argument then and there.
05:12 However, they continued
05:14 arguing, resulting in an awkward
05:16 and heated debate about the merits
05:18 of religion.
05:20 #5.
05:28 The Church
05:30 The Church is a place where
05:32 people of all faiths gather
05:34 #5.
05:36 Eddie Bravo
05:38 In addition to being a jiu-jitsu
05:40 expert, Eddie Bravo is perhaps
05:42 best known for his many appearances
05:44 on the Joe Rogan Experience.
05:46 Bravo has also developed a reputation
05:48 of being a prominent conspiracy
05:50 theorist and who believes that the Earth
05:52 is flat.
05:54 When
06:06 Bravo attempts to explain his reasoning,
06:08 Rogan has none of it
06:10 and dismantles Bravo.
06:12 Things soon get so heated that the
06:14 argument turns into a shouting match.
06:16 But Rogan doesn't
06:22 back down, calling Bravo's
06:24 beliefs insane.
06:26 #4.
06:32 Steven Crowder
06:34 This guest is a popular conservative
06:44 commentator, contributor to
06:46 Fox News, and has his own daily
06:48 political show, Louder with
06:50 Crowder. While things started off
06:52 relatively tame, all hell
06:54 broke loose when the topic of conversation
06:56 veered towards marijuana use
06:58 and legislation, with Rogan
07:00 arguing for its use.
07:02 Crowder constantly tries to chime in,
07:04 but Rogan doesn't let him.
07:06 Crowder later criticizes Rogan's
07:16 attitude, to which he responds in kind
07:18 by calling him names including
07:20 Cutie and Sweetie.
07:22 It is important to note that Rogan and Crowder enjoyed
07:28 a few drinks throughout this episode, so
07:30 it might explain why things
07:32 went off the rails.
07:34 #3. Nick DiPaolo
07:42 While appearing on The Joe Rogan
07:44 Experience, this comedian and
07:46 the host began arguing about
07:48 Donald Trump. While Rogan stated
07:50 that Trump was a persistent liar,
07:52 DiPaolo begged to differ,
07:54 and sarcastically undermined credible
07:56 sources like the Washington Post that
07:58 have reported on Trump's inaccurate
08:00 statements.
08:02 DiPaolo held
08:04 the opinion that the mainstream media
08:06 was twisting Trump's words,
08:08 even asking Rogan at one point
08:10 to define a lie.
08:12 "Lies about what?"
08:14 "First of all, it's a definition of a lie."
08:16 Fed up with his lack of solid arguments,
08:18 Rogan accused DiPaolo of resorting to
08:20 "whataboutism" rather than presenting
08:22 an actual point to defend
08:24 his stance.
08:26 "Yeah, when someone talks about something
08:28 and instead of refuting it with facts, they go
08:30 'Yeah, well what about Hillary? What about Bill?
08:32 Bill did it too. What about this? What about that?'
08:34 That's a whataboutism."
08:36 "That's what I just committed?"
08:38 #2. Brian Callan
08:40 "What do you have to say to me?"
08:42 "Bro, I watched a scary movie with him."
08:44 "I'm gonna have to leave. I'm gonna have to shut this podcast down."
08:46 "Not yet! Not yet! We have to, hold on."
08:48 This actor-comedian, alongside
08:50 Brendan Shaub, is one of Rogan's
08:52 favorite guests to have on the show.
08:54 In this episode, however,
08:56 Rogan had a different attitude,
08:58 and with good reason.
09:00 When Callan began boasting
09:02 how tough he was as a person,
09:04 Rogan and fellow guest Brendan Shaub
09:06 were quick to put Callan in his place.
09:08 "You've talked to too many guys
09:10 that let you say shit like that,
09:12 and then it becomes like vernacular.
09:14 It becomes like a part of the way you talk.
09:16 All those people that I know,
09:18 all those people that when I first met you,
09:20 all those people..."
09:22 Rogan suggests that the guest has been
09:24 hanging out with the wrong crowd,
09:26 and that these people let him get away
09:28 with making ridiculous statements.
09:30 Leave it to Joe Rogan to give someone
09:32 a much-needed reality check.
09:34 "You do. You hang out with a lot of people
09:36 who are such bullshit artists.
09:38 And you don't... you should do.
09:40 You know who I'm talking about."

09:58 1. Candice Owens
10:00 Speaking of reality checks,
10:02 here's another guest who got on
10:04 big time with the podcast host
10:06 during her appearance.
10:08 Speaking on climate change,
10:10 conservative commentator Candice Owens
10:12 expressed her opinion on the matter
10:14 and how she doesn't believe it exists.
10:16 "Okay, let me clarify this.
10:18 I don't throw trash on the ground.
10:20 I'm not saying we need to trash the environment,
10:24 but do I believe in climate change?
10:26 No."
10:28 Rogan was astounded,
10:30 quick to point out the ridiculousness
10:32 behind what she stated
10:34 and how climate change is in fact
10:36 very much real.
10:38 "People are making it seem like that's something weird.
10:40 It's not unique."
10:42 "No, no, no. You're misrepresenting the issue."
10:44 To make matters worse, Owens couldn't present
10:46 any evidence to back her claim.
10:48 Rogan also went on to point out to Owens
10:50 the dangers of making such a statement
10:52 due to the immense following she has.
10:54 "How about not have a belief
10:56 until you really have looked at the data?"
10:58 "Okay, so you would prefer..."
