00:02 Going into the game against the Netherlands,
00:07 I was really, I was really pointing out the weight
00:11 and the impact of that Netherlands game.
00:14 Because the way I put it was, if you win that game,
00:19 the way the bracket had broken down, the way the draw was,
00:23 you would basically be getting the equivalent
00:25 of a number one seed in the NCAA tournament.
00:28 And if you lost that game,
00:30 then you were gonna be playing Portugal in an eight, nine
00:33 game for the right to play a one seed in Sweden.
00:35 And they, or Drew, and because they blew
00:38 the goal differential thing with the awful performance
00:40 against Vietnam, they're getting not nearly enough heat
00:43 for how bad they were against Vietnam in a circumstance
00:48 when they knew goal differential could play a big part
00:50 in how they did in this tournament.
00:52 And so they went in against Netherlands
00:54 and they were lifeless for an entire half.
00:57 And then at the end of the game,
00:59 when they finally started to play
01:00 like they're capable of playing,
01:02 Vlatko Andonovsky decides to make no subs
01:05 and doesn't take advantage of a tired Netherlands defense
01:09 and winds up with a one, one draw.
01:11 And then of course, last night,
01:13 even if the US had gone out and played well,
01:15 they were putting up no more than three.
01:17 They were not turning around that goal differential
01:20 once the Netherlands bagged five in the first 25 minutes.
01:24 So they had blown it through the first two games.
01:28 And now they're stuck in the hardest possible bracket
01:31 they could be in, having to play Sweden
01:34 and then a difficult second round game,
01:37 and then a difficult semifinal and final, of course,
01:40 if they're able to get to that level.
01:42 And when you said you were given a 0% chance,
01:45 I thought you were saying to beat Sweden.
01:48 I wouldn't have been surprised if you had said that.
01:50 I give them a chance to win the game
01:53 if they play the way Portugal played the United States,
01:57 which is basically saying,
01:59 look, we know we're not scoring many goals tonight,
02:01 but you're not getting any either.
02:03 We're gonna bunker back,
02:05 we're gonna hound you when you try to attack,
02:08 we're gonna double team and triple team your biggest threats
02:11 and we'll try to score on a counter at some point.
02:14 That's the only way this US national team
02:16 is going to be able to beat Sweden.
02:18 I don't see them deciding to approach it that way.
02:22 It's not how the US has ever played,
02:24 so I doubt it'll happen now.
