00:00 Hello, here are the top headlines today, making the news across our newsrooms in the North West.
00:06 A three-month investigation into a blaze which ripped through a luxury car dealership in Preston
00:14 has concluded. Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire
00:18 at Jaguar Land Rover car dealership in Fullwood in the early hours of Friday April the 7th.
00:24 The fierce blaze at its height was fought by more than 60 firefighters with 10 fire engines
00:30 and two aerial ladder platforms. Fire investigators have now revealed they've
00:35 concluded their investigation and said that while they believe the fire to have been accidental,
00:40 the cause of the blaze still remains a mystery because of the amount of damage sustained.
00:44 A woman said she was refused entry to Blackpool Pleasure Beach even though she was attempting to
00:51 help her daughter's friend who was having a seizure. The woman who wished to remain anonymous
00:57 said her 16 year old daughter was enjoying a day out with her friend at the park on Wednesday when
01:02 trouble struck. The mum said when she tried to access the attraction to help out she was refused
01:08 entry twice because she didn't have an admission ticket. Unable to access the park she said she
01:14 was forced to return to her car and wait for the ambulance to leave so they could follow it to the
01:19 hospital. Police were at the scene of a road closure in Carnforth this morning. Lancashire
01:26 Police posted on social media that they were attending the scene of a road closure on the A6
01:32 Lancaster Road caused by a road traffic collision. Stagecoach also tweeted to say that bus services
01:38 in the affected area would be diverted while the incident was ongoing. A rallying call has gone out
01:46 to tackle the illegal off-road biking plaguing Wigan communities. Proposing a motion to clamp
01:53 down on the issue at the latest council meeting in Wigan Town Hall, a councillor said he wants to see
01:59 the illegal practice stopped. For the sake of environmental preservation, health and safety,
02:06 noise pollution and criminal damage, Councillor Anderson called for the council to support
02:11 Greater Manchester Police as they cracked down on the issue across the borough. His motion received
02:16 unanimous support from the chamber. Police officers seized a firearm, a significant amount of class A
02:24 drugs and £30,000 in cash when they executed a warrant at a house in March Street Burnley on
02:30 Wednesday. Inquiries are ongoing to locate the residents of the premises who was not present at
02:36 the time as officers now wish to speak to them. Police confirmed the warrant was made possible by
02:42 information provided by the community and encouraged residents to contact them with information.
02:47 Now for the weather. A rather cloudy day with a scattering of mostly light showers, a few brighter
02:54 spells potentially breaking through in the afternoon but feeling slightly cool for the time
02:59 of year. Wet and gloomy for much of Saturday with outbreaks of rain throughout, heavy at times.
03:06 That's it for now, thanks for watching.
