Residents in Maidstone are furious with plans to redevelop a shopping centre into housing

Maidstone Borough Council proposals include plans for 281 flats at The Broadway as part of a 15-storey tower block.

A petition amongst residents is now gathering pace with more than 3,000 people opposing the recommendations.
