Kangana Ranaut has hit back at Jaya Bachchan's speech in the Parliament against people pointing fingers at the industry over various issues. Bachchan, one of the iconic actors in the Bollywood of the '70s, had made a statement in parliament, refuting actor and fellow MP Ravi Kishan and Kangana Ranaut's claims of drug abuse in film industry. Jaya Bachchan had said that people who made their names in the industry have called it a gutter. She slammed people who criticise the same industry which have made their careers, using the 'jis thali mein khate hain usmein chhed karte hain' analogy, without naming the individuals. Kangana tweeted in response to Jaya's statement and wrote in Hindi, "Which thali has Jaya ji and her industry given?” She also went on to say that, “we got one thali which had a two-minute role, item numbers and one romantic scene, that too after sleeping with the hero”.
