00:00:00These were the darkest days the world has ever known.
00:00:14There were a lot of theories about how it happened.
00:00:19Some thought it had to do with the tale of a comet that had passed too close to the earth.
00:00:24Others simply believed it was time for man to atone for thousands of years of sinning.
00:00:28If that were true, it makes one wonder how long this would go on.
00:00:34It had already been some fifty years now, but no one really knew what brought them to
00:00:38life.
00:00:39They just came out of the ground, millions of them, and hungry.
00:02:58Say goodnight, Puss-head.
00:03:21Nice shootin' bro.
00:03:22Thanks man.
00:03:23Now how the hell did you do that?
00:03:32Damn if I know.
00:03:34But looked pretty cool.
00:03:35Yeah it did.
00:03:46Smile.
00:04:02Make sure you check their pockets.
00:04:04Yeah man.
00:04:05Hey, where'd the girls go?
00:04:08I don't know, but I think we gotta run away.
00:04:14Go after him.
00:04:15I'll find the girls.

00:10:03I'm good.
00:10:10I got some chicken on the fire that'll be done in a bit if you want some.
00:10:16Yeah, okay.
00:10:19You're thinking about mom and dad again, huh?
00:10:25Yeah.
00:10:27Yeah, I was.
00:10:30Well, actually, dad.
00:10:35I was thinking how he used to sit around the fire cleaning his gun while he'd tell his stories.
00:10:40Tell his stories, yeah.
00:10:44Yeah, I think about those days a lot, too.
00:10:48Yeah, no kidding.
00:10:50He sure did love to talk about how life was before the zombies came.
00:10:54Yeah, he did.
00:10:57All those stories about people living together in big cities, people just being people.
00:11:05It's kind of strange, doesn't it?
00:11:08Yeah, it does.
00:11:12It's hard to imagine, that's for sure.
00:11:15Did you ever think that maybe we were meant to live this kind of life?
00:11:21No, I don't believe I ever thought that.
00:11:24Maybe we were.
00:11:27Maybe dad told us those stories so that we'd have something to believe in, something to fight for.
00:11:38Knowing dad, that's probably true.
00:11:42Maybe, just maybe he told us so that we'd be the ones to change things back to the way they were.
00:11:52Or at least get started.
00:11:55That's a lot to take in, man, you know.
00:11:58It is.
00:12:01A lot more to live up to.
00:12:06You think we can do it?
00:12:08Hell yeah, we can.
00:12:12Then we'll do it.
00:12:14We will?
00:12:18I gotta go check on the chicken.
00:12:22I'll talk to you later, man.
00:12:25Alright, dude.
00:12:30Brian.
00:12:33I miss dad, too.
00:12:42Sometimes at night, when the stars were out and things were calm, you could almost believe that you were in a normal world again.
00:12:48The way the world used to be, they tell me.
00:12:51Men, women, children living normal lives together.
00:12:55Almost.
00:12:58Ladies.
00:13:01Ladies.
00:13:05Hey, come with me for a second.
00:13:09Come on, it's okay.
00:13:17Hey.
00:13:19Hey.
00:13:21Hey.
00:13:23Hey.
00:13:25Hey.
00:13:27Hey.
00:13:29Hey.
00:13:32Hey.
00:13:42Okay.
00:13:45This is food.
00:13:48Okay? Food.
00:13:50Here.
00:13:54Food.
00:13:57Food.
00:14:00Yeah.
00:14:02That's really good.
00:14:05Hey, go ahead and eat.
00:14:08Food.
00:14:12I think it's time to go.
00:14:14Come on.
00:14:31Come on.
00:14:45Do it.
00:14:47Go ahead and do it.
00:14:53Help!
00:14:55Help!
00:14:58Come on, everybody out! Go, go!
00:15:16No! No!
00:15:23It's okay.
00:15:27It's okay.
00:15:39Don't shoot.
00:15:40That was close.
00:15:42There's too damn many of them. We've got to make a run for it.
00:15:44What about David?
00:15:45He's on his own like we are.
00:15:48I'll sound the retreat. We'll meet up with him later.
00:15:50I'm not leaving him behind.
00:15:51We're not leaving anybody behind.
00:15:53He knows where to go after I sound the retreat.
00:15:58Okay. It's time to get out of here. Go, go, go, go.
00:16:04Come on, let's go.
00:16:07I'll be okay. Come on, guys.
00:16:10Yeah.
00:16:27Let's go.
00:16:58Come on.
00:17:10Stay as close to me as you can.
00:17:14Shit.
00:17:25Hey, Buzzy.
00:17:27Give me a head count right away and find out how much water we've got.
00:17:30Right.
00:17:31Buzz, check and see if my brother's here, will you?
00:17:34No problem.
00:17:36You know if he was here, we'd already know it.
00:17:38Yeah, I know.
00:17:39He's a good soldier. He'll be okay.
00:17:42I never thought him getting turned into one of those puss bags.
00:17:45I wouldn't worry about that. They're not going to do that to him.
00:17:47He's young and strong.
00:17:50I hope you're right.
00:17:53We'll get him back, Brian.
00:17:55One way or the other.
00:17:57That's the other part that worries me.
00:18:01We have 12 people total.
00:18:03Enough food and water to last us a couple of days.
00:18:06Only 12? Damn.
00:18:08I was hoping for more than that.
00:18:10Start rashing out the food and water.
00:18:12If anybody gives you a problem with it, just come to me.
00:18:14You got it, General.
00:18:16Come on, Brian. Let's go get something to eat.
00:18:18We're going to need all of our strength if we're going to rescue the rest of them.
00:18:21I'll be right there.
00:18:23Come on. We'll eat and then we'll get on the radio.
00:18:26They might be at one of the other camps. Who knows?
00:18:41That was a day we all remember.
00:18:44The day one of our most valuable soldiers, David,
00:18:46was captured by the undead and taken to their farm.
00:18:50The very thing he had spent his life fighting against
00:18:53was in fact the thing that enslaved him.
00:18:56It was a sad day for all of us.
00:18:58But at the same time, it was a day that would live on in our history
00:19:01as the day that began to turn the tide.
00:19:04It was a day that would be remembered.
00:19:07It was a day that would live on in our history as the day that began to turn the tide.
00:19:33That was the first time David had seen the farm.
00:19:36He was surprised at what the zombies had been able to accomplish on their own.
00:19:40They were actually breeding and growing people.
00:19:43Growing them to early adulthood for one reason and one reason only.
00:19:48To eat them.
00:19:57These zombies were different than any David had seen before.
00:20:00They actually had their own hierarchy.
00:20:03A leader, as it were, who barked out his orders in unintelligible grunts and groans.
00:20:08Nothing any human could really understand,
00:20:10but apparently a way of communicating for them.
00:20:13David learned quickly that he couldn't let them hear him talk.
00:20:16At least not the leaders.
00:20:18For that would certainly be his undoing.
00:20:25Get off me, pussbag.
00:20:33Get off me, pussbag.
00:20:40Get off me, pussbag.
00:21:03Get off me, pussbag.
00:21:33Get off me.
00:22:03Get off me.
00:22:27We're together, see? Me and her.
00:22:29Me and her, get it?
00:22:32What am I saying, you don't get it?
00:22:36You don't get it either, do you?
00:22:38What?
00:23:02How's it going, Jo?
00:23:04Hey.
00:23:06As good as it can be.
00:23:08You know me, boss, I just roll with the punches.
00:23:10I hear ya.
00:23:12How are we looking on the ammunition?
00:23:14We got plenty of lead.
00:23:16Not a lot of powder.
00:23:18Couple hundred rounds maybe, but that's it.
00:23:20Make as many lead heads as you can and I'll see what I can do to round up some more powder.
00:23:25Whatever you say, boss.
00:23:27You lived with them for a while, right?
00:23:30Yeah.
00:23:31Yeah, I did.
00:23:33That is, up until about the time I was 20 years old or so.
00:23:37Best I can figure.
00:23:39But you know, of course, I can't say for certain.
00:23:42I didn't know how to count back then.
00:23:44One of our guys was captured by them.
00:23:47What do you think his chances of survival are?
00:23:53That's a very tough question.
00:23:55I just want your opinion, Jo. I thought I'm gonna hold you to it.
00:23:57Okay.
00:23:59Alright, well, pretty much depends on the person, you know.
00:24:03If he's smart and keeps his mouth shut, he'll be okay for a little while.
00:24:07At least, you know, until they figure out what to do with him.
00:24:09And who knows if they think he's useful.
00:24:12They may keep him alive for quite a long time.
00:24:16But, you know, if he's the hard-headed type, talks in front of them...
00:24:26Well, you know...
00:24:28Just say it, Jo.
00:24:30If he talks, they'll just eat him, sir.
00:24:34Yeah.
00:24:36Who are we talking about here?
00:24:38David.
00:24:40David.
00:24:42Oh, David.
00:24:45Guy with a smart mouth, right?
00:24:47That's him, alright.
00:24:49That's him, alright.
00:24:51Hopefully, our smart young buck will hold his tongue.
00:24:56That's the best we can hope for, then, isn't it?
00:24:59I'll let you get back to work now.
00:25:07That boy's in big trouble.
00:25:11Are you sure?
00:25:14Yeah, I appreciate it.
00:25:16Thanks, Eagle 4. Eagle 7 out.
00:25:21Damn.
00:25:30I figured as much.
00:25:32We just have to figure that they've got him and they're holding him.
00:25:35Yeah, either that or...
00:25:37No. No second guessing.
00:25:39They've got him and we've got to get him back.
00:25:41That's the only way we can think about it, you understand me?
00:25:43Yeah, I do.
00:25:46Get this.
00:25:48We weren't the only ones attacked last night.
00:25:49Who else?
00:25:50Everyone.
00:25:51Everyone? What do you mean, everyone?
00:25:53All 12 camps.
00:25:55Goons hit us all at the same time.
00:25:56Get the hell out of here.
00:25:58All 12 camps at once?
00:26:00All 12.
00:26:01My God.
00:26:03That takes a great deal of organization.
00:26:06They're getting far too smart, man.
00:26:09We're going to lose this thing if we don't make a move of our own.
00:26:12And soon.
00:26:14You ready? Let's go now.
00:26:16Not quite that soon, Bri.
00:26:18But it's not going to be long.
00:26:20Trust me.
00:26:22As soon as I can organize the other camps, we'll go.
00:26:25I promise you that.
00:26:27Good.
00:26:55What?
00:26:57Yeah, food.
00:27:05And as much as some things had changed,
00:27:07others had remained the same as they had always been.
00:27:37Can you talk?
00:27:49Okay.
00:27:51I'm going to give you about five seconds to convince me not to kill you right now.
00:27:57I saw them bring you in this morning.
00:27:59I was working in the garden.
00:28:01I knew you were an outsider.
00:28:03A soldier.
00:28:05I knew it.
00:28:09She's okay. Don't worry about her.
00:28:11She's hot.
00:28:13I think maybe one night I could cut me the nipple.
00:28:15Or not.
00:28:17Hey, I forgot I said it.
00:28:19I like your luck you got studying duty.
00:28:22Beats the hell out of working in the fields.
00:28:25You were saying?
00:28:27Oh, yeah.
00:28:29I was with Eagle Nine until I got captured and brought in about five years ago.
00:28:35I'd pretty much given up hope until I saw you this morning.
00:28:44What's your name?
00:28:46I'm David.
00:28:52They used to call me Sliver.
00:28:56Okay, Sliver.
00:28:57How'd you get in here?
00:28:59I sneak around the farm a lot.
00:29:01Pretty good at sneaking around.
00:29:03That's how I got my name.
00:29:05Well, then why don't you just run away?
00:29:07Because I don't know where to go.
00:29:09I didn't even know if there was anybody out there still.
00:29:12And if they catch you running, they don't just bring you back.
00:29:15They eat your ass.
00:29:25I know where to go.
00:29:27Oh, man. That's just what I was hoping to hear.
00:29:30Listen, can you get me a pencil and a paper so I can make a map of the farm?
00:29:36I don't know, but I can see what I can do.
00:29:39Okay.
00:29:41I'm going to trust you.
00:29:43If you keep that trust, I'll get you out of here.
00:29:46If you break that trust, I'll kill you myself, and I'll feed you to these goons.
00:29:50Do you understand?
00:29:52Yeah, that's no problem at all.
00:29:56Good.
00:29:58You see what you can get me, and you meet me back here same time tomorrow night.
00:30:02Can you do that?
00:30:04Yeah.
00:30:05Okay.
00:30:07What?
00:30:09Thanks for talking to me.
00:30:11Really.
00:30:14Yeah, man.
00:30:20And so it went.
00:30:22The hours turned into days, and the days turned into more days,
00:30:25and very little else changed in almost two weeks.
00:30:28David was, however, able to put together a crude map of the farm and where he was being held.
00:30:34He carried it with him every second of every day,
00:30:36just waiting for the right chance to plant it on one of the zombies
00:30:39that would go out into the woods on a regular basis.
00:30:42He reasoned that if any of the people out there killed that zombie and found the map,
00:30:45they would know he was here because the map carried his mark,
00:30:48which was well known among the humans.
00:30:51He knew this was a long shot, maybe a really long shot.
00:30:55It might take one trip or a hundred trips, but at the same time it was the only shot he had.
00:31:00And while he waited for that chance, he spent a few hours every night teaching his new friend to talk.
00:31:06The young lady learned quickly for someone who had been brought up by the undead.
00:31:10Getting her to say the words was the easy part.
00:31:12The hard part was getting her to understand them.
00:31:15But the one thing she knew instinctively was not to talk in front of the zombies.
00:31:19He didn't have to teach her that.
00:31:21That was because she had grown up here
00:31:23and had seen what happened to people who talked out loud probably too many times.
00:31:28Sliver came in to see David almost every night,
00:31:31and it would seem that they were starting to become pretty good friends.
00:31:34After all, he was the only one David could really talk to,
00:31:38and that counts for a lot in a place like this.
00:31:41But it would be unwise to mistake that for trust.
00:31:45David would use him for as much as he could, but he wasn't about to trust anyone in this place.
00:31:50Then the day David was waiting for finally came.
00:31:54Hit me.
00:31:58Hit me. Hit me!
00:32:16Hit me.
00:32:24David knew there was something wrong the second he saw that bar of soap.
00:32:28There was no way in the world these undead things had made that.
00:32:31They may have figured out how to farm humans for their food,
00:32:34but they were not sophisticated enough to make soap. No way.
00:32:38Something else was going on here, and he was determined to find out what it was,
00:32:42one way or the other.
00:33:07Hey.
00:33:10Surprised to see me?
00:33:12You're not the only one who can sneak around.
00:33:15I don't understand what's going on.
00:33:17I want to know where the hell the soap comes from, and you better talk fast.
00:33:20I don't know.
00:33:22Not good enough.
00:33:24Tell me where it comes from.
00:33:26I don't know.
00:33:28Bullshit, I think you do. I think there's something you're not telling me.
00:33:31Look, I saw a couple of guns. I took it in the case, and that's all I know. I swear.
00:33:37Where'd they get it?
00:33:38I don't know.
00:33:40Where'd they get it?
00:33:41I don't know.
00:33:43Well, I know damn well that they don't make it themselves, and they have to get it from somewhere.
00:33:46Tell me where it comes from.
00:33:48I don't know.
00:33:49Where'd they get it?
00:33:50I'm telling you the truth.
00:33:51Where does it come from?
00:33:52I don't know.
00:33:59All right.
00:34:01All right.
00:34:03Sorry about that.
00:34:06It's all right.
00:34:08I'd be pissed, too.
00:34:13I know it hard.
00:34:14That's what I do.
00:34:16Do you think you can find out where that soap comes from?
00:34:18I don't know.
00:34:20I could try.
00:34:21You do that.
00:34:23I gotta get back before the patrol goes to the barn.
00:34:26No hard feelings?
00:34:28No.
00:34:29No, we're cool, man.
00:34:31All right.
00:34:32Later, man.
00:34:38Asshole.
00:35:02Come on.
00:35:32Come on.
00:36:02Come on.
00:36:33And one day, strange things started to happen.
00:36:37Things that none of us had ever even thought of before.
00:36:44You wanted to see me, sir?
00:36:46How are you doing this evening, sir?
00:36:48I'd be doing a lot better if I wasn't out here.
00:36:50Let's get this over with.
00:36:52What did you want to tell me?
00:36:54There's an outsider in the camp.
00:36:56He's a soldier.
00:36:58A soldier?
00:36:59Are you certain?
00:37:00Oh, yeah.
00:37:01They brought him in from the woods a couple weeks ago with some of the runaways.
00:37:05And I made friends with him.
00:37:07You made friends with him?
00:37:09Good.
00:37:10That was smart.
00:37:11But I don't think he trusts me.
00:37:13Why does he need to trust you?
00:37:15I think he got a message out to his regiment.
00:37:19Then that could be a problem.
00:37:21Look, you keep an eye on him.
00:37:23I'll discuss the situation with the council, and I'll get back to you.
00:37:26Yes, sir.
00:37:27And Sliver, you better be prepared to kill him if the council deems it necessary.
00:37:31To kill him, sir?
00:37:33Do you have a problem with that?
00:37:35Well, he... he is a human, sir.
00:37:38Look, you know what's at stake here.
00:37:40We need to take every step necessary to ensure our safety.
00:37:43You got that?
00:37:45Yes, I understand, sir.
00:37:47Don't worry.
00:37:48You can... you can count on me.
00:37:51I better be able to count on you.
00:37:53I'll see you back here tomorrow night, the same time.
00:37:55You got it? Got that?
00:37:56Right.
00:37:57All right.
00:38:05What are you doing, Brian?
00:38:08Going hunting.
00:38:10We're running a little low on food.
00:38:12Stripped a little heavy for game hunting, aren't you?
00:38:15You never know what you might run into out there.
00:38:18Tell you what.
00:38:19Give me five minutes to get my gear and I'll go with you.
00:38:23I think I can handle this alone.
00:38:25You probably can.
00:38:27Like you said, you never know what you might run into.
00:38:31Five minutes.
00:38:33Yeah.
00:38:48Come on.
00:39:18Come on.
00:39:48Come on.
00:40:19Come on.
00:40:33Stop.
00:40:35What the hell are you doing?
00:40:37Only what I have to.
00:40:45Thanks.
00:40:46I think.
00:40:47It's only a little scratch.
00:40:49I think you'll live.
00:40:50You could have said duck or something.
00:40:53Did we get them all?
00:40:54Yeah, I think so.
00:40:56Let's go check out those boxes.
00:41:01And some things began to get even stranger yet.
00:41:04Things that should not be happening.
00:41:06Things that our people could not explain no matter how hard they may have tried.
00:41:18What is it?
00:41:19I don't know.
00:41:21Let's find out.
00:41:25Hello.
00:41:27What is this?
00:41:29Looks like beans of some sort.
00:41:34Tastes pretty good, too.
00:41:36Let me try that.
00:41:39Yeah, that is good.
00:41:41Where the hell did it come from?
00:41:43That's the question, ain't it?
00:41:45They damn sure didn't can it, and I know they didn't make it.
00:41:48They don't eat it, either.
00:41:50No, they don't.
00:41:52Check out some of the others.
00:41:57This is corn.
00:42:00I don't know what that is.
00:42:02I don't know.
00:42:05This is corn.
00:42:13This one's little potatoes.
00:42:18Damn tasty ones, too.
00:42:25I'd say we had a pretty damn good hunt today.
00:42:27Yeah, we did.
00:42:29We gotta figure out where this came from.
00:42:30First thing is, we gotta get all this back to camp, and there's no way we can carry it all by ourselves.
00:42:34You go back to camp.
00:42:37Take one with you. Send some muscle back to get some more.
00:42:40All right, well, you pull the rest of it off the path in case the goons come through.
00:42:43I don't want them to get any of it back.
00:42:45That's why you're the boss.
00:42:47We might not make it back before dark, so make yourself scarce, listen for my signal.
00:42:50Don't worry about me.
00:42:52Look, if anything happens, don't be a hero. Just come back to the base camp, okay?
00:42:55Is that an order?
00:42:57No, it's a friend.
00:42:59Just go.
00:43:01Told you not to call me that.
00:43:29Oh, shit.
00:43:51It's okay.
00:43:59It's okay.
00:44:01It's okay.
00:44:26Sorry I fucking lost it.
00:44:31It's okay.
00:45:01It's okay.
00:45:03It's okay.
00:45:30So, what's the word?
00:45:32I talked to the council.
00:45:34We decided this soldier of yours has got to go.
00:45:38Look, you can expose him to the ghouls and let them kill him, or you can do it yourself.
00:45:41It doesn't really matter. Just get it done.
00:45:43Okay.
00:45:45Look, Sliver, we can't allow this one guy to compromise everything we all work so hard for.
00:45:50You got that?
00:45:51I understand.
00:45:53Be sure that you do.
00:45:54And here, take this.
00:45:56We put the militia on high alert.
00:45:58Anything else happens, call them. They'll be here in an hour.
00:46:01Got it?
00:46:02I got it all. Don't worry.
00:46:05And remember one thing.
00:46:07What's that?
00:46:09There's a lot of people counting on you.
00:46:11Right.
00:46:27Where the hell are you going?
00:46:30Right here, General.
00:46:34I thought I'd lost you.
00:46:36Me?
00:46:39Not a chance.
00:46:41Good.
00:46:43Because I don't think I could take that.
00:46:47Hey.
00:46:50Me too.
00:46:53Wipe your eyes. See this? I don't see you.
00:46:56Take a look at this.
00:47:01It's David's mark.
00:47:03Yep.
00:47:05You didn't just go?
00:47:07Well, I did.
00:47:11I thought about you when I came back.
00:47:13I'm glad you did.
00:47:16You know this doesn't mean...
00:47:18I know.
00:47:20It doesn't mean he's alive.
00:47:22We have to assume he is.
00:47:24Oh, yeah.
00:47:26Come on, let's get these crates back to camp,
00:47:28and we'll sit down and get a plan together to rescue your little brother.
00:47:32That's what I want to hear. Let's go.
00:47:37Come on.
00:47:39Come on.
00:47:51Kiss?
00:47:54Yes, kiss.
00:48:04Kiss good?
00:48:07It sure is.
00:48:17Kiss good?
00:48:21It sure is.
00:48:37What's up?
00:48:38Not a whole lot.
00:48:40Not much at all.
00:48:42Just thought I'd check in and see what's up, if anything.
00:48:47Yeah, there's something I want to tell you.
00:48:50Yeah, what's that?
00:48:55You know, there's a big difference between killing a man and killing one of those puss heads out there.
00:49:00That'll count, they're already dead, but...
00:49:04To kill a real, flesh and blood human being...
00:49:08Well, that takes an entirely different kind of person.
00:49:11Yeah? So why are you telling me this?
00:49:15I just thought it was something you should know, that's all.
00:49:19There's one other thing.
00:49:21Yeah, what's that?
00:49:23You better be damn sure that you're that kind of person before you pull that knife out.
00:49:26Because if you hesitate for even a fraction of a second,
00:49:28I'm going to take that knife from you and I'm going to cut your eyeballs out.
00:49:33So what's it going to be, sliver?
00:49:35We're...
00:49:39We're good.
00:49:46I'm glad to hear that.
00:49:48What do you want the knife?
00:49:51Nah, I just want to shake your hand, is all.
00:49:58You're a good man, sliver, I mean it.
00:50:01I appreciate that.
00:50:04But, uh, there's some things I need to tell you, and...
00:50:09I don't think you're going to like them.
00:50:13Yeah, I figured as much.
00:50:15And that is when David first learned the real truth about this farm.
00:50:18How it started, and who kept it running like it did.
00:50:33Where are they?
00:50:36Okay. What's going on?
00:50:39I'm just joking with you, Brian.
00:50:41You know why?
00:50:42No.
00:50:44Okay, that's not very funny.
00:50:46It was pretty damn funny to me.
00:50:50I promise I won't do it again, okay?
00:50:54Okay.
00:51:01No worries, General.
00:51:03I've got some good news for you.
00:51:06In about two hours, we leave to go meet the other regiments.
00:51:10We're going after David.
00:51:11Today?
00:51:12Today.
00:51:13It's about damn time.
00:51:32You think they're coming today?
00:51:36It's hard to say.
00:51:39I'm running out of time.
00:51:41If they find out I didn't kill you, they're going to come after me.
00:51:47You think you can get me a gun?
00:51:50That's a pretty tall order.
00:51:52Shh.
00:52:03Can you do it?
00:52:06Yeah.
00:52:08Yeah, I think so.
00:52:11Do it as fast as you can.
00:52:13If my people don't come soon, we're going to break out of here on our own.
00:52:17Isn't that a bit risky?
00:52:21You're just going to have to trust me.
00:52:25Yeah. Okay, yeah.
00:52:36Looks like we're the first ones here.
00:52:40Everybody take a break.
00:52:42How long are we going to wait?
00:52:44At least for a couple of hours.
00:52:46Get comfortable.
00:52:48Right. I think that's going to happen.
00:52:56This was always the worst part of being in this godforsaken place.
00:53:00The time when the undead tasted the food of their labor and ate a couple of humans they had raised.
00:53:05Four to six of them a day, sometimes more.
00:53:09It's a horrible way to die.
00:53:12What's going on, sliver?
00:53:14I gave you that phone to call the militia in case you had a problem, not to bother me.
00:53:19Yes, sir. I know.
00:53:22Good. I'm glad you know.
00:53:26Well, what? What do you want?
00:53:28Well, sir, I need a gun.
00:53:31You need a gun?
00:53:33Are you telling me you can't get this thing done without a gun?
00:53:36I went to see him with a knife, but he's just too big.
00:53:42He'd kill me for sure.
00:53:44Jesus, sliver. How the hell did you get this job anyway?
00:53:47I volunteered.
00:53:49Never mind. It's a rhetorical...
00:53:51Forget it.
00:53:53Look, I'm going to give you this gun.
00:53:56But you better make damn sure you get the job done. Understand?
00:53:59Yes, sir. I understand perfectly.
00:54:01You better get it done, sliver.
00:54:03Or those zombies will be having sliver and onions for dinner. Got it?
00:54:06Don't worry. I will get it done.
00:54:11Make sure you do, sliver.
00:54:14Make sure you do.
00:54:27Name's Cap. Leader of the Eagle Three.
00:54:30General, Eagle Seven. Is this all you got?
00:54:33Well, there are not many.
00:54:35They aren't too pretty either, but they're damn good fighters.
00:54:39I'm sure they are.
00:54:41Any word from the others?
00:54:44I don't want to say this in front of everyone. Let's walk.
00:54:47Let's walk.
00:54:50Spit it out. What the hell's going on?
00:54:52The other regiments aren't coming.
00:54:54Why the hell not?
00:54:56To be honest with you, I don't really know.
00:54:58But I think it's got something to do with that zombie farm where your man's being held.
00:55:02Well, that makes no sense to me, because I thought we were all in this together.
00:55:05I know. That's the way I see it, too.
00:55:07But I think there's some people that might see it differently.
00:55:10I don't think so.
00:55:12I don't think so.
00:55:14I don't think so.
00:55:16I know the way I see it, too, but I think there's some people that might see it differently.
00:55:20How so?
00:55:22Well, there's some people who think that farm is a good idea.
00:55:30Are you trying to tell me that there are people behind what happens at that farm?
00:55:33I can't answer that.
00:55:35Why not?
00:55:36Because I don't know.
00:55:38It's just a hunch I got.
00:55:41Well, if there are, they're going to die with those puss bags.
00:55:46I'll understand if you want to go.
00:55:50That's not my style.
00:55:52We're with you all the way.
00:55:54Glad to hear it.
00:55:56When do you want to move out?
00:55:57Right now.
00:55:58Let's do it.
00:56:03Star, listen to me.
00:56:05We're getting out of here really soon, okay?
00:56:08We're going. When we do, all hell is going to break loose, so I need you to stay close.
00:56:14Do you understand?
00:56:16Stay close.
00:56:20Star...
00:56:24Stay close.
00:56:25That's right.
00:56:27That's right, Star.
00:56:45What's up, man?
00:56:47I got what you asked for.
00:56:53How'd you get it so quick?
00:56:55I went to my people and I told them I needed it to kill you.
00:56:58You only have one clip and 15 rounds, so you better make it count.
00:57:04Create a diversion outside in 15 minutes.
00:57:06When you hear gunfire, go into the woods and run east.
00:57:10You got that?
00:57:11East. I got it.
00:57:14We're getting out of here, baby.
00:57:20We're getting out of here today.
00:57:43We're getting out of here today.
00:57:58Hey! Hey, come and get it!
00:58:00Come on, you freakin' pushbacks!
00:58:02Come on! Come on!
00:58:04David, now's the time, man!
00:58:06Do your thing!
00:58:08Come on!
00:58:10Time to go.
00:58:12Come on.
00:58:26Bye-bye.
00:58:28Come on, you fuckers! Come on!
00:58:31Let's go, man!
00:58:35Come on, let's go! Come on!
00:58:43You want to live, don't you?
00:58:47Yeah. Live.
00:58:49You can talk.
00:58:51Yeah.
00:58:53What's your name?
00:58:55John.
00:58:56Okay, John. I want you to get these people out of here and follow me. Got it?
00:59:00Okay.
00:59:13The woods, man! Go for the woods!
00:59:20John! John!
00:59:25I need you to take them all into the woods, okay?
00:59:27Okay.
00:59:28Star, I want you to...
00:59:31I want you to go with him.
00:59:33Okay.
00:59:34I need you to go with him.
00:59:36Okay.
00:59:37I need you to go with him.
00:59:39Okay.
00:59:40I want you to go with him. Okay?
00:59:42Go. With him.
00:59:44Understand? Go.
00:59:47Take care of her.
00:59:48Okay.
00:59:57Hey, puss heads!
01:00:06Get to the woods, man! Do it now!
01:00:11Shit.
01:00:24Fuck you!
01:00:27You don't have the balls to fight me yourself, do you, asshole?
01:00:40Fuck you!
01:00:50Kill him! Kill them all!
01:00:57Come on! Get up!
01:00:59Go, go, go! To the woods! Get to the woods!
01:01:04Goodbye.
01:01:05Oh, shit.
01:01:10Give me that!
01:01:18Thanks, man.
01:01:37Good to see you, man.
01:01:38Good to see you.
01:01:39Come on, let's get out of here.
01:01:41No way.
01:01:42There's still people here.
01:01:45I gotta get them out.
01:01:46Let's go.
01:01:47Follow me.
01:01:57Whoa!
01:01:59Show off.
01:02:00Who, me?
01:02:09Okay.
01:02:39Come on.
01:03:09No!
01:03:30David.
01:03:31Yes, it's David. Come on.
01:03:39Come on.
01:03:55Jesus.
01:04:01Whoa!
01:04:02Whoa, man, don't shoot me.
01:04:05Christ, man, you damn near gave me a heart attack.
01:04:07Didn't mean to.
01:04:09Come on, let's get the hell out of here.
01:04:11Have you seen Star?
01:04:12Star?
01:04:13My girl, man. My girl.
01:04:15Yeah. Yeah, she was heading to the woods a little bit ago.
01:04:18I gotta find her.
01:04:19Let's go.
01:04:21Let's go.
01:04:37What's the matter, puss-head? You don't like that?
01:04:39Get away from me, you maggot factory.
01:04:43What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?
01:04:46Oh, I forgot.
01:04:47Probably ate the damn thing, didn't you?
01:04:50You hungry, boy? Huh? You hungry, boy?
01:04:52You wanna take a bite of me?
01:04:55Cap, over there.
01:04:59What the hell are you guys doing?
01:05:01Oh, nothing, boss. Just having a little fun.
01:05:04Well, just kill the damn thing and get it over with.
01:05:06We got work to do.
01:05:08You heard the boss.
01:05:09Sorry, bud.
01:05:15Let's get out of here.
01:05:20Let's go.
01:05:27Look who I found.
01:05:28David. Damn, it's good to see you alive.
01:05:30It's good to be alive.
01:05:32Oh, come here.
01:05:34Okay. Okay, big guy. That's enough.
01:05:37Has anybody seen Star?
01:05:40Good-looking girl? Long hair?
01:05:43I gotta find her.
01:05:44Star!
01:05:47Star!
01:05:48She was over there in the woods just a few minutes ago.
01:05:52Where?
01:05:53Right over there.
01:05:55I saved her from one of those puss bags.
01:05:57And then we got attacked by another one and she ran off while I was fighting it.
01:06:02Damn.
01:06:03Which way did she go?
01:06:04I don't know, man. She just ran off.
01:06:08I gotta find her, you guys.
01:06:10General, this is Sliver.
01:06:11He has some things he wants to tell you about this place that you need to know.
01:06:14He's a good man. You can trust him.
01:06:16Let me send somebody with you.
01:06:17Geronimo.
01:06:19I'm on it, boss.
01:06:20No. No, that's okay. This won't take long, really.
01:06:22He's going with you, David. No excuses. No arguments.
01:06:27Okay.
01:06:29Okay.
01:06:34Okay, guys.
01:06:36Start tearing this place down.
01:06:38I don't want to see anything left standing.
01:06:40Nothing.
01:06:41Nothing.
01:06:44Let's take a walk, you and me.
01:06:50You taught me how to paint when I was ten years old.
01:06:54Remember, Dad?
01:06:57By the time I was eleven, I painted the entire exterior of the house.
01:07:03Twice.
01:07:06Therapy, you called it.
01:07:08Why, Dad? What for? I was ten.
01:07:12I'd say it was more like abuse.
01:07:15And no, Mother, I'm not being too tough on him.
01:07:18If he had listened to me in the first place, everything would be fine.
01:07:21I mean, look. Look around you.
01:07:23This system works perfectly.
01:07:25I mean, helping them out is maybe a little odd, but you know what?
01:07:29Those humans have to raise them like animals.
01:07:31They don't know what they're missing.
01:07:33They're just like cows back in the day.
01:07:35You know, they got a roof over their heads.
01:07:37They eat. They have sex all the time.
01:07:38But me? I can't even piss in the woods without worrying about some pusshead
01:07:42jumping all over my ass.
01:07:46Now look.
01:07:49Damn it.
01:07:53Alright, that's it. I'm done.
01:07:55I can't do this anymore.
01:07:57I needed to bring you here.
01:07:59I needed to find out if there was anything left inside.
01:08:01Something. But you know what?
01:08:03There's nothing. Absolutely nothing.
01:08:06Nada.
01:08:09So.
01:08:11Mother dear.
01:08:14Father.
01:08:22Ladies first.
01:08:25You should have listened to me, Dad.
01:08:31So.
01:08:33What's the girl look like?
01:08:35Probably the best looking girl you'll ever see.
01:08:36Really? To me?
01:08:38Okay.
01:08:40I'll take your word for it.
01:08:43Star!
01:08:46Star!
01:08:49Damn it.
01:09:07You were right, Cap.
01:09:09There's a town just a few miles down this road.
01:09:12This farm was started and supplied by them.
01:09:15Are you sure?
01:09:17He's from there.
01:09:19It's true, man.
01:09:21Okay.
01:09:23So what do we do about it?
01:09:25I say we pay them a visit.
01:09:27I say sounds like a plan.
01:09:28Something I can do for you, darling.
01:09:30Well, I was hoping to get through here.
01:09:32Think that's possible?
01:09:34Where'd you come from, sweetheart?
01:09:36There's nothing but zombies out there.
01:09:38Oh, there's lots of people out there.
01:09:40But you know what?
01:09:42I don't care.
01:09:44I don't care.
01:09:46I don't care.
01:09:48I don't care.
01:09:50I don't care.
01:09:52I don't care.
01:09:54I don't care.
01:09:56I don't care.
01:09:58Lots of them.
01:10:00Like me.
01:10:02Like you.
01:10:04Well, not exactly like me.
01:10:08Know what I mean?
01:10:10I know exactly what you mean.
01:10:12So what do you say, boys?
01:10:14You gonna let me pass?
01:10:17Oh, come on.
01:10:19I really need to get through here.
01:10:21It's a matter of life or death.
01:10:23Whose life or death?
01:10:25Very possibly yours.
01:10:29Sorry, boys.
01:10:31But we're going through.
01:10:33If you want to live,
01:10:35you'll let us walk through when we come back.
01:10:37Got it, darling?
01:10:58Star?
01:11:04Star!
01:11:08Star!
01:11:12Hey, man, we've been at this for a couple hours.
01:11:14Don't you think we ought to go back?
01:11:16Okay, okay.
01:11:18I was just thinking out loud.
01:11:22Star?
01:11:28Star!
01:11:30Star!
01:11:32Star, is that you?
01:11:51Where's my gun?
01:11:58Star!
01:12:15I got careless.
01:12:17Right.
01:12:19Just get it over with.
01:12:22Look, man, I...
01:12:24Just do it!
01:12:26I don't want to be one of them.
01:12:28I don't want to be one of them.
01:12:38Thank you all for coming.
01:12:40As usual, we'll start our meeting off with a short prayer.
01:12:43We'll all bow our heads.
01:12:46Dear God, we thank you for the gifts you give us each day.
01:12:51We thank you for protecting us from evil.
01:12:54And we ask for your strength and courage
01:12:57in our fight against the undead.
01:13:00You don't fight them.
01:13:02You feed them.
01:13:10Who the hell are you?
01:13:12A person who's going to put a bullet in your head
01:13:14if you don't shut up and sit down.
01:13:17Sliver, what is this?
01:13:21You heard the lady.
01:13:22I thought you had listened to her.
01:13:25I'm not going to tell you again.
01:13:35And wipe that shitty look off your face
01:13:37or I'll shoot you just for fun.
01:13:44Okay.
01:13:46We don't like being here any more
01:13:48than you guys want us to be here,
01:13:50so I'm going to make this short and simple.
01:13:52This isn't sweet.
01:13:54That farm that you guys set up,
01:13:56it's done.
01:13:58Gone.
01:14:00Burned up.
01:14:02If you even try to set up another one,
01:14:04I will break my own commandment
01:14:06and come back to this town
01:14:08and kill every single living person here.
01:14:10No exceptions.
01:14:12The farm was the only way
01:14:14we could keep them out of the town.
01:14:16You don't need to show them
01:14:18how to breed humans to survive.
01:14:20We're proof of that.
01:14:22That's what I had to do.
01:14:30Sliver.
01:14:36He had a gun.
01:14:42Anyone else want to get cute?
01:14:45Huh?
01:14:47I don't care what you do now.
01:14:49If you want to join us and fight the puss heads,
01:14:50you're more than welcome to.
01:14:52If not, you're welcome to that too.
01:14:55But no more farms.
01:14:57Period.
01:14:59Or the next time you see me,
01:15:01it'll be the last five seconds of your life.
01:15:04Come on, let's go.
01:15:06Being around these people make me sick.
01:15:12Yeah.
01:15:14Me too.
01:15:21Hey, we got a live one.
01:15:25400 yards, one o'clock.
01:15:29Let's light him up.
01:15:31Hey, we got a live one.
01:15:34400 yards, one o'clock.
01:15:38Let's light him up.
01:16:01We always honored our dead
01:16:03with the greatest of respect and gratitude
01:16:05for their bravery and sacrifice.
01:16:08But this time it was different.
01:16:11Especially for me.
01:16:19We found David's body before the goons got to it
01:16:21and took it back to our camp
01:16:23to give him a real funeral.
01:16:25The kind of funeral a soldier deserves.
01:16:26We didn't put bodies in the ground anymore.
01:16:28The only way to give someone a funeral
01:16:30was to burn them.
01:16:33If we buried them,
01:16:35the zombies would pick up on the scent of fresh meat
01:16:37and dig them up for food.
01:16:39But we were going to make sure
01:16:41that wasn't going to happen to David.
01:16:43He was a soldier.
01:16:45Someone who fought for his people
01:16:47without complaint or question.
01:16:49And he won't be forgotten.
01:16:51I will make damn sure
01:16:53that his son knows all there is to know
01:16:54about him.
01:16:56And who knows?
01:16:58Maybe someday little David
01:17:00will be the one who leads us all to victory.
01:17:25Listen up, motherfucker!
