On our way back from a shoot in Maryland, we stumbled across this huge location. Under the cover of darkness, we parked, then ventured within this old abandoned structure.

**This video provides a brief history of the motel and a walk through tour that we took.

The History:
This motor lodge was positioned at the southern most location along the New Jersey Turnpike

Opened in 1967, it started with just 80 units. It is located one mile from the Delaware Memorial Bridge. In 1993 the lodge was expanded into a 142 room hotel. Prime Motor Inns converted the property into a not too well recieved Wellesley Inn.

By 2004 the gate lodge was demolished and the brick was stuccoed over. The Blackstone Group dissolved Prime Motor Inn and this location became one of the two last Wellesley Hotels.
