Del Buono's Menagerie of Animals, Haddon Heights, NJ (Axis Video)

319 E Black Horse Pike
Haddon Heights, NJ 08035
"QUAILTY IS HOW WE ROLL"

Is there really a menagerie of animals on the roadside?

Del Buono Name Meaning.
Italian: literally ‘of or belonging to the good one’, hence a name for the son, apprentice, associate, or servant of a man known by this nickname or having Buono as a personal name.

This local small business bakery has been a staple for the Camden County residents for years. The various fiberglass animals featured on and around the buildings are only part of the attraction of this location.

The rolls, particularly the seeded ones, bread and other goods are baked to perfection on a daily basis. They recently added a deli counter. Carmen's Deli.

In August of 2013, Tom Whitman (and his business partner/wife Larissa) purchased the bakery from original owner Nino Del Buono.

Nino's family had started the bakery business in Camden, New Jersey more than 90 years ago. After Nino's father passed in 1979, he took over all aspects of the business. Nino is also an accomplished boxer and actor.

The Haddon Heights location is on the Black Horse Pike and has been open since the mid 1960s. There are also store locations in Stratford and Marlton.

These Fiberglass animals are usually found at miniture golf courses.
