It makes sense then that the Watergate Hotel, known best for being embroiled in what became known as Nixon’s Watergate scandal, is offering a special accommodation package for the event. 00:05According to U.S. Capitol Police, there are 250,000 ticketed guests who will gather on
00:09the National Mall for the event, and most of those will need a place to stay while in D.C.
00:14And the Watergate Hotel, known best for being embroiled in what became known as
00:18Nixon's Watergate scandal, is offering a special accommodation package for the inauguration.
00:23They're calling it the Watergate Head of State Package, and it not only includes
00:27overnight accommodation in the hotel's presidential suite, but also transportation.
00:31That means a private daily executive chauffeur in an armored Maybach.
00:35The hotel will also fly you round-trip from New York to D.C. in a helicopter.
00:39Other amenities include a commemorative stationary set with a custom wax seal
00:43and a keepsake Watergate crystal.
00:45The hotel, known for its esteemed whiskey console, will also provide a private tasting.
00:50So how much will this package set you back?
00:52A cool $73,500 plus tax.
00:55Still, that's a drop in the bucket for many who are attending the billionaire
00:58president's other planned festivities.
01:00To attend all three days of events, which includes a church service with Trump
01:04and the cabinet reception, the price tag is set at $1 million.
