PAULA KINGSTON - LONG LONG GONE

PRESENTED BY JOANNE COLLINS

PRODUCED BY JOHN HOUGH & JOANNE COLLINS

Paula Kingston O'Brien is an Irish singer songwriter who mixes a natural flair for simple, evocative writing with a voice which dips and dives between a soulful sound and a modern country lilt.

Having been writing since she picked up a guitar and thought herself to play over 10 years ago, Paula often uses song writing as a therapy for the trials of modern day life! She has recently been commissioned to write a song for Gorta, the overseas development charity and wrote the official song for the Clonakilty Random Acts of Kindness festival, getting significant airplay and requests.

A regular on the gigging circuit in west Cork, Paula has played with a whole raft of talented and diverse musicians and keeps it in the family by regularly playing is sessions with her Dad, himself a well-respected bass player. She is also a member of the increasingly popular vocal group Ré Nua and part of the Southern Belles music nights, which showcases exceptional female musical talent.

Paula is due to record her first album this year, with a view to releasing in September and touring her unique sounds around the country. Watch this space!
