The Party

Filmed in freezing Hampstead in 1962, R A Ostwald captures an Art school get together,very much of it’s time. The soundtrack is provided by Mike Taylor (Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker later played in his Jazz trio) Three Taylor compositions were recorded by Cream, with lyrics by drummer Ginger Baker "Passing the Time", "Pressed Rat and Warthog" and "Those Were the Days", all of which appeared on the band's August 1968 album Wheels of Fire. Also watch out for future Cream lyricist Pete Brown who appears in the film.
