This was the first catch of the day of railfanning on 7/26/09 and we've seem a great number of trains. This I think it the best catch of the day for a BNSF coal train especially since it has some rare power both leading & on DPU, the SD70MACs weren't be the AC44CW #5623 leading is rare, especially since all the AC44CWS of BNSF have been coming out of storage especially since the economy had severe issues over the past year. I was also keeping a lookout for a northbound UP train departing Longview Yard, the coal train was running slow because this train was diverging onto main 2 from main 1. A few minutes later, there he is, the usual morning UP northbound leading a manifest with the normal SD70Ms.
And once the DPUs came along, another rare catch. this is a first generation BNSF ES44AC trailing it was one of their distributive units and an SD70MAC.
