00:00The palace has strongly denied former presidential spokesperson attorney Harry Roque's assertion that the arrest warrant issued against him as part of alleged political persecution.
00:10This comes after an arrest warrant was formally issued against Roque, prompting him to file a pending petition for asylum abroad.
00:18In response, the palace emphasized that the burden of proof lies with Roque to show that any move to bring him back to the Philippines, whether through the Interpol or other means of cooperation, is driven by political harassment.
00:31In the meantime, Senator Risa Ontiveros welcomed the issuance of the arrest warrant, calling it a step towards accountability.
00:38Senator Wynne Gachalian also urged authorities to ensure that those who violate the law are held accountable, regardless of their social or political standing.

00:50So, dapat po, para hindi po siya ma-arresto, since may valid warrant of arrest na inisyo ang ating bansa, siya po ang dapat magpatunay na ang pagkuha sa kanya, gamit man ang Interpol or cooperation sa Interpol, siya magpatunay ang pagdala dito sa Pilipinas ay because of mere harassment.
01:05So, may condition po yung statement na hindi po yung statement na hindi ka pwedeng hulihin, basta-basta, kung meron naman pong valid warrant of arrest at may kaso siya dapat kaharapin, hindi po siya dapat magtago sa kanyang petition for asylum.
