Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visits Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum in Gujarat’s Bhuj

Bhuj (Gujarat), May 16, 2025 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum, Kutch, Bhuj. In the visuals, earthquake simulations are performed. He also extended invitation to the people of country to come to Gujarat and visit the museum. After visiting Smritivan Earthquake Memorial Museum in Kutch, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “I have got the opportunity to see this for the first time and whatever I have seen here is amazing, inspiring and a very memorable experience for me. This museum is not only the pride of the country but also of the world. This memorial, built in memory of the people who died in the earthquake that struck Gujarat in the year 2001, is a symbol of the resilience of the state of Gujarat. It has been included in the UNESCO list. All the countrymen know that behind the construction of this museum, the vision and inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is clearly visible...I request all my countrymen that whenever they come to Gujarat, they must visit this memorial and pay tribute to the approximately 13,000 people who were killed at that time.”
