00:30The meeting between Luis Abinader, Leonel Fernández, Hipólito Mejía, and Danilo Medina transcends protocol.
00:40It is an act of institutional maturity that demonstrates that, when national interests are at stake,
00:46partisan differences must give way to patriotic duty.
00:50The creation of joint workspaces, the convening of the Economic and Social Council, CES,
00:56and the commitment to a unified foreign policy are necessary steps to confront a crisis that cannot be resolved with isolated measures.
01:05The Dominican Republic cannot and should not bear the burden of Haiti's collapse alone,
01:11but it must act firmly and unitedly to protect its borders, its economy, and its internal order.
01:17It is significant that this dialogue included support for the rigorous enforcement of immigration law,
01:23without neglecting respect for human rights, as well as the promotion of comprehensive development in the border of provinces.
01:31The international community must understand that without a real and sustainable solution in Haiti,
01:36with multilateral support, regional instability will continue to grow.
01:41Liston Diario values this exercise in unity and calls on all sectors to join this effort.
01:48When the country speaks with one voice, its demand is stronger.
01:52Let this be the first chapter of a state policy, not a mere episode of temporary harmony.
01:58History will judge you by what you do from this moment on.
