00:05an initiative aimed at promoting labor reform.
00:08With 49 votes against and 47 in favor, the Senate plenary rejected the initiative of Gustavo Petro's administration.
00:16In response, the Colombian head of state accused the body of committing a fraud
00:20and called on the People's Workers Union to mobilize together with community action boards,
00:26youth committees and indigenous movements.
00:28The proposed consultation addressed issues such as the reduction of the eight-hour working day,
00:35the leave for health reasons, decent wages for farmers and the end of outsourcing, among others.
