Operation Sindoor: भारत पाकिस्तान संघर्ष विराम (India Pakistan

00:26we had a Security Council resolution, which very clearly said
00:31that the perpetrators of the attack should be held accountable.
00:35And on May 7th your morning we held them accountable
00:38through the action that was taken through Operation Sindhu.
00:44Now having said that, I know that would have spoken to me earlier
00:50that many issues have been raised.

01:29I think the Prime Minister made it very clear that the only talks with Pakistan will be on terror.
01:35That Pakistan has a list of terrorists who need to be handed over.
01:40They have to shut down the terrorist infrastructure.
01:44They know what to do.
01:45We are prepared to discuss with them what is to be done on terrorism.
01:49Those are the talks which are feasible.
01:53Water issues have been raised.
01:55But, again, you all know, and I re-emphasize, the Cabinet Committee on Security and the government, obviously,
02:05was very clear that the Indus Waters Treaty is held in abeyance and will continue to be held in abeyance
02:17until cross-border terrorism by Pakistan is credibly and irrevocably stopped.
02:23So, sometimes the Kashmir issue has been brought up.
02:30Again, the only thing which remains to be discussed on Kashmir is the vacation of illegally occupied Indian territory
02:40in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
02:43We are open to discussing that with Pakistan.
02:46So, I want, you know, to spell out our positions very clearly so that, you know, what is in your minds
02:56and what many of you have raised with me on various occasions, the government's position is very, very clear.
03:03Ceasefire, I think one of you asked me inside about trade as well.
03:06So, on the ceasefire, I mean, what you call ceasefire, we call cessation of firing and military action.
03:14We achieved, you know, the goals which we set out to do by destroying the terrorist infrastructure
03:25in Bhopalpur, Muridke, Muzaffarabad and other places.
03:29So, after that, I think since the key goals were achieved, I think we reasonably took the position
03:39that because even at that start, at the start of the operation, we had sent a message to Pakistan saying
03:46we are striking at terrorist infrastructure, we are not striking at the military.
03:51So, the military has an option of standing out and not interfering in this process.
03:56They chose not to take that good advice.
03:59Now, once they got hit as badly as they did on the morning of May 10th
04:08and all of you have seen the, you know, today the satellite pictures
04:14which actually bring out very graphically how much damage we did.
04:19By the way, the satellite pictures also bring out how little damage they did.
04:22So, these pictures, I think, will tell you what a hit they took
04:27and the same people who are not willing to stand down on 7th May
04:31were willing to talk and stand down on the 10th of May.
04:36It is very clear who wanted the cessation of firing.
04:40On the trade remarks, let me say this, that look, between India and U.S., trade talks have been going on,
04:51negotiations have been going on.
04:53In fact, we have, I think, a team is just going at this point.
04:59These are very complicated negotiations.
05:01They are very intricate.
05:02Nothing is decided till, you know, everything is.
05:08But any trade deal, any trade deal has to be mutually beneficial.
05:14Any trade deal has to work for both the countries.
05:17And I think that would be our expectation from the trade deal.
05:23And until that is done, I think any judgment on it would be premature.
