जैसलमेर, राजस्थान: बीजेपी प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मदन ने कहा,"यह बेहद दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि एक सांसद बार-बार सवाल उठा रहा है। संसद जैसी गरिमामयी संस्था में बैठे व्यक्ति को देश की सुरक्षा जैसे गंभीर विषय पर राजनीति नहीं करनी चाहिए। कांग्रेस के कुछ गिने-चुने बचे हुए सांसद अब भी सवाल उठा रहे हैं।" उन्होंने आगे कहा, "क्या उन्होंने उन बहनों से जाकर पूछा है जिनका सिंदूर छीन लिया गया था? अगर हिम्मत है, तो जाकर आमजन से पूछें। इस तरह की बयानबाजी करने वाले सांसदों को संसदीय कार्य करने का हक भी नहीं दिया जाना चाहिए।" मदन राठौड़ ने कहा कि "पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत जैसे वरिष्ठ नेता उम्मेदाराम जैसे सांसद के बयान का समर्थन नहीं कर सकते। उन्हें चाहिए कि ऐसे लोगों को तुरंत पार्टी से बाहर का रास्ता दिखाएं।"
