In this powerful speech, U.S President Donald Trump boldly asserts that the Middle East is on the brink of a transformation like never before. Citing his vision of peace, safety, and opportunity, Trump claims that the region will no longer be defined by decades of chaos and conflict. Instead, he envisions a future where commerce drives prosperity, with the Middle East leading the world in innovation and achievement. With his fierce stance, Trump also takes a direct jab at past interventions that failed to deliver, proclaiming that the true renaissance of the region is being forged by its own people, not by foreign nation-builders.

00:00Exactly eight years ago this month, I stood in this very room and look forward to a future in which the nations of this region would drive the forces of terrorism and extremism, drive them right out of existence and take your place among the proudest, most prosperous, most successful nations anywhere in the world as leaders of a modern and rising Middle East.
00:23So exciting. So exciting. Before our eyes, a new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts of tired divisions of the past and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce, not chaos, where it exports technology, not terrorism, and where people of different nations, religions and creeds are building cities together, not bombing each other out of existence.
00:51We don't want that. After so many decades of conflict, finally it is within our grasp to reach the future that generations before us could only dream about a land of peace, safety, harmony, opportunity, innovation, and achievement right here in the Middle East.
01:10Before our eyes, a new generation of leaders is transcending the ancient conflicts of tired divisions of the past and forging a future where the Middle East is defined by commerce, not chaos, where it exports technology, not terrorism, and where people of different nations, religions and creeds are building cities together, not bombing each other out of existence.
01:35We don't want that.
01:40And it's crucial for the wider world to note this great transformation has not come from Western interventionists or flying people in beautiful planes giving you lectures on how to live and how to govern your own affairs.
02:01Let us know that the gleaming marvels of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi were not created by the so-called Nation Builders, Neocons, or liberal nonprofits, like those who spent trillions and trillions of dollars failing to develop.
02:20so many other cities. Instead, the birth of a modern Middle East has been brought by
02:26the people of the region themselves, the people that are right here, the people that have lived
02:31here all their lives, developing your own sovereign countries, pursuing your own unique
02:37visions and charting your own destinies in your own way. It's really incredible what you've done.
02:44In the end, the so-called nation builders wrecked far more nations than they built,
02:49and the interventionalists were intervening in complex societies that they did not even understand
02:57themselves. They told you how to do it, but they had no idea how to do it themselves.
03:03But with that said, Iran can have a much brighter future, but will never allow America and its
03:09allies to be threatened with terrorism or nuclear attack. The choice is theirs to make. We really
03:16want them to be a successful country. We want them to be a wonderful, safe, great country,
03:21but they cannot have a nuclear weapon. This is an offer that will not last forever. The time is
03:29right now for them to choose. Right now, we don't have a lot of time to wait. Yet I'm here today not
03:35merely to condemn the past chaos of Iran's leaders, but to offer them a new path and a much better path
03:42toward a far better and more hopeful future. As I've shown repeatedly, I am willing to end past
03:49conflicts and forge new partnerships for a better and more stable world, even if our differences may
03:56be very profound, which obviously they are in the case of Iran. I have never believed in having
04:03permanent enemies. I am different than a lot of people think. I don't like permanent enemies,
04:09but sometimes you need enemies to do the job and you have to do it right. Enemies get you motivated.
04:16In fact, some of the closest friends of the United States of America are nations we fought wars
04:22against in generations past, and now they're our friends and our allies.
