00:00Welcome to the land of A Thousand Stories.
00:20K-pop gives us a sense of ownership.
00:23K-pop is a community.
00:25It gives you the sense of, you know, family.
00:28What I think drives a lot of young people to breaking is because of the way it looks like when people move up and down, the way they hit the plates, the rhythm.
00:36Hip-hop to me is an expression.
00:38The way how they feel deep in their heart.
00:40If people get attracted to something, if something is cool, that means there's a lot of power behind something that's cool.
00:46Hip-hop, in the beginning, it was fighting the power, letting your voice be heard, letting people understand about your struggles.
00:52We're not running after fame or fortune. We're running after a change.
00:57Something good is around the corner.
00:59And if them dancing is going to make them go back to school and really learn something else, then let them dance.
01:07I live in Africa. I am Uganda. And this is my city, Kampawa.
01:21Most of the people don't know much about Uganda. All they see is a place for the dark and the place where there is more.
01:28Some time ago, our real stories got lost in the ones that others told.
01:38But we are our own storytellers, and we are here to tell you one that has not yet been told.
01:45We speak many languages in Uganda. For many of us, our first language is Uganda. But for me, my real language, the language of my heart, is Hip-Hop.
