A distressing incident took place in the Eco Village-1 society of Greater Noida West’s Thana Bisrakh area on Sunday evening, leaving a woman critically injured.

According to reports, the woman was walking on the society's podium when a pet dog suddenly charged at her. In a panic to escape the animal, she lost her balance and fell from the podium. The fall caused serious injuries to her lower back. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital and later shifted to the Critical Care Unit (CCU) due to her deteriorating condition.

CCTV footage of the incident confirms the sequence of events, clearly showing the dog running towards the woman moments before she fell.

The incident sparked concern among residents, who have criticized the lack of control over pets in the society. Many are demanding stricter regulations to prevent such episodes, especially since similar concerns over stray and pet dog attacks have been raised in the past.

Although no police complaint has been filed yet, residents are calling for accountability and action to ensure the safety of people—particularly the elderly and children—within residential complexes.
