00:26I've said on numerous earlier occasions, it is Pakistani actions that have constituted provocation and escalation.

00:38In response, and I repeat, in response, India has defended and reacted in a responsible and measured fashion to these provocations and these escalations by the Pakistani side.

00:55Earlier this morning, we saw a repeat of this escalatory and provocative pattern and I'll invite Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh to update you on the development since early this morning.

06:27Pakistan military continued with its provocations

06:34carrying out aggressive actions employing multiple threat vectors

06:38all along the western border

06:40Pakistan employed UCAB, drones, long-range weapons, loitering munitions and fighter aircrafts

06:48to target civilian area and military infrastructure

06:51Pakistan military also resorted to air intrusions

06:55using drones and firing of heavy caliber weapons along the line of control

07:00along the international border and the line of control

07:03air intrusions and several harassment attacks

07:07were also attempted from Srinagar till Naliyah

07:10at more than 26 locations

07:13Indian armed forces successfully neutralized these threats

07:17and majority of the vectors

07:19however, limited damage was sustained to equipment and personnel

07:23at Indian Air Force stations

07:24at Udhampur, Pathankot, Adhampur and Bhuj

07:27there were also several high-speed missile attacks

07:33noticed subsequently after 0140 hours in the night

07:36at several air bases in Punjab

07:39in a deplorable cowardly act

07:44targeting of civilian infrastructure

07:47also had taken place

07:49where Pakistan attacked the Medicare center and school premises

07:53at the air bases of Srinagar, Avantipur and Udhampur

07:58yet again displaying irresponsible targeting of our civilian infrastructure

08:03in a switched and calibrated response

08:06Indian armed forces carried out precision attacks

08:09only on identified military targets

08:11these included technical infrastructure

08:14command and control centers

08:17radar sites and weapon storage areas

08:20Pakistan military targets

08:22at Rafiki, Muriz, Chaklala, Raheem Yaar Khan

08:26Sukur and Chunya

08:27were engaged using air-launched precision weapons

08:31from our fighter aircraft

08:32radar sites at Pasroor and Sialkot Aviation Base

08:36were also targeted using precision missions

08:39while carrying out these responses

08:42India ensured minimum collateral damage

08:44Pakistan has also attempted to execute

08:49a continued malicious misinformation campaign

08:52with claims of destruction of Indian S-400 systems

08:56at Adampun

08:57destruction of air fields at Suratgarh and Sirsa

09:00Rammu space at Nagrota

09:02RT gun positions at Deirang Yari

09:05and Chandigarh forward ammunition depot

09:08with heavy damages to other military stations

09:11being propagated on social media

09:14India unequivocally rejects these false narratives

09:18being spread by Pakistan

09:19along the line of control also

09:22Pakistan has attempted multiple air intrusions

09:26using drones and conducted shelling

09:28using heavy calibrated RT guns

09:30targeting civilian infrastructure

09:32and killing some civilians

09:34heavy exchange of artillery mortars

09:37and small-arm fire in Kupwara

09:39Indian Army has responded effectively and proportionately

09:48causing extensive damage to Pakistan Army

09:52Park military has been observed to be moving their troops into forward areas

09:57indicating offensive intent to further escalate the situation

10:01Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness

10:05all hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded appropriately

10:11Indian armed forces reiterate their commitment to non-escalation

10:15provided it is reciprocated by the Pakistan military

10:19at the end I would also like to show you a few images of air force bases in the Punjab sector

10:25and Rajasthan sector where it is

10:29mighty clear that we are debunking the Pakistani claims of causing destruction at these air bases

10:35you can also see the normalcy and these air force stations

11:20I just have a few points to make

11:25in closing

11:26first of all

11:28as you have seen

11:29Pakistani claims about activities that they have undertaken continue to be heavy on lies, misinformation and propaganda

11:44and on top of that this is peddled by Pakistani state agencies

11:52the claims that they have made about attacking and destroying various places, various military installations and facilities as has been pointed out by my colleagues here this morning are completely false

12:08completely false

12:10the claim about the air force station in Sirta being destroyed completely false as you have seen

12:15completely false as you have seen the claim about the air force station in Suratgad being destroyed completely false again as you have seen there is a claim that has been made that the S-400 base at Adampur was destroyed completely false once again claims have been made about large sections of Indian critical infrastructure, power systems,

12:26cyber systems, cyber systems, etc. being attacked and destroyed completely false. I would urge all of you and all those who watch this not to be misled by this tissue of lies that is being peddled by the Pakistani state for obligation.

12:33The second point that is the obvious purposes.

12:58The second point that I wanted to emphasize is that Pakistan continues with its execrable and wanton campaign of targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure especially in the states of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

13:15There is also on its part a consistent attempt to sow discord between communities in India.

13:23As I said there has been a particular focus in its targeting of civilian infrastructure and the population in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

13:32Earlier this morning Pakistan shelled the town of Rajauri killing the additional district development commissioner Shri Rajkumar Thappa adding to the civilian casualties and the damage in that state.

13:46We have also observed overnight damage to property and injuries to civilians in Firozpur and Jalandhar among other places.

13:56Finally, as I said, Pakistani officials also continue to make ludicrous claims about India firing missiles towards Shri Amritsar Sahir.

14:07As I said, these lame attempts to divide India are doomed to failure.

14:14We have also seen in some of the remarks that have been shown on television that the Pakistani army spokesman seems to take great joy at the fact that the Indian public should criticize the government of India with regard to various issues.

14:35It may be a surprise to Pakistan to see citizens criticizing their own government.

14:44That is the hallmark of an open and functioning democracy.

14:50Pakistan's unfamiliarity with that again should not be surprising.

14:55And finally, there is this yet again completely ludicrous claim that Indian missiles have hit Afghanistan.

15:05Totally frivolous allegation.

15:08And I only want to point out that Afghan people don't need to be reminded about which country it is that has on multiple occasions in just the last one and a half years targeted civilian populations and civilian infrastructure in Afghanistan.

15:25Ladies and gentlemen, as you would have gathered from this morning's briefing, we are dealing with an evolving situation.

15:35Accordingly today, we don't have the time to take questions, but we will continue to update you on this situation as we go along.
