00:00There will be no let-up in the bullying, tactics, and acts of harassment by the Chinese Navy, Coast Guard, and forces from the People's Liberation Army on Philippine vessels in the West Philippine Sea and Maritime EEZs.

00:12The response of D&D Chief Secretary Gilberto Chiodoro on his reaction over the latest intimidation episode by the Chinese People's Liberation Army on the BRP Emilio Aguinaldo patrolling the vicinity of Scarborough Shoal on Monday.

00:30Defense Secretary Gilberto Chiodoro Jr. was not surprised by the blocking and tailing of the Philippine Navy's BRP Emilio Jacinto by Chinese warships.

00:41This happened on Monday, 11 nautical miles from Bajo de Masinluc, during a maritime patrol.

00:47According to Chiodoro, incidents like these are to be expected.

00:51I'm not alert and I'm not surprised. Sinasabi ko na matagal na, pakikiba ka ito.

00:58We have to expect those things to happen. And it is a choice.

01:54Today marks the conclusion of the nearly three-week Balikatan Exercises 2025

01:59participated in by 14,000 Filipino and American troops.

02:05As we close this Balikatan exercise this morning,

02:09this afternoon, our planners are already going to start planning

02:14for the next iteration of Balikatan Exercise 41-2026.

02:23This year's Balikatan saw the deployment of the Marine Air Defense Integrated System or MADIS

02:29and the Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System or Nemesis Missile System.

02:35The U.S. earlier stated that the deployed equipment may remain in the country for further training.
