00:00There are tons of videos in which YouTubers talk about what kind of smartphones they use as their daily drivers.
00:07I wondered what my female colleagues are like.
00:10So I asked four women who all work with technology full-time, from automotive journalism to web development to actual tech content on YouTube.
00:19What devices do they actually use and why?
00:21Friends, my name is Jen from the YouTube channel Jen Loves Tech and my daily driver, or rather my everyday smartphone, is the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and for one very simple reason.
00:35The mega cool Leitsa camera with a total of four lenses.
00:40The 50 megapixel main camera has a 23mm Leica lens, a 1-inch sensor and a 16mm aperture.
00:47The triple zoom has an incredible 18mm aperture, by the way.
00:53And the Ultra telephoto lens has a 200 megapixel sensor, which allows you to take extremely close-up and super cool macro shots with incredibly great background blur.
01:05This means that, for me personally, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra currently has the best smartphone camera on the market.
01:11Not only is the main camera amazing, but the selfie camera also takes incredibly great pictures thanks to AI support.
01:21In addition to this amazing camera, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra also comes with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor,
01:28currently the most modern processor available in the Android sector,
01:32a large 5,410 mAh battery,
01:36and an incredibly beautiful 6.73-inch WQHD plus a mold display with incredibly thin bezels.
01:45It also has a ton of great AI features, not least because Google's Gemini is integrated.
01:50So, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has everything I personally want from a smartphone that accompanies me non-stop in my everyday life,
02:00and with which I can take outstanding photos and videos on the go.
02:05Hi guys, I'm Nicole, or better known as DL56, and my channels are mainly about programming.
02:11My everyday phone is the iPhone 14 Pro.
02:13It's simply the perfect size for me.
02:15I can hold it very well in my hand and I'm extremely happy with the video quality.
02:19It allows me to film my everyday life without any problems,
02:22but the main reason I use an iPhone is because I work with several Apple devices
02:26and I find it very convenient that you can interact between the devices very well.
02:30Especially when I've filmed my videos with my iPhone,
02:33I just have to airdrop them onto my MacBook.
02:36Hi, I'm Sin Aron on my YouTube channel Sin Marie
02:39I make videos about the latest technology products and especially about smartphones.
02:44This means that I often switch between many different devices
02:47such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra or the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL,
02:53which I was recently using as my daily driver.
02:57I usually use two smartphones at the same time,
03:00one as a work phone, which is currently the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL,
03:04and one for personal use, which is my iPhone 16 Pro.
03:08The reasons for this are actually quite obvious when you consider that I wear an Apple Watch,
03:16use AirPods as headphones,
03:18own an Apple Vision Pro and need all the advantages of the Apple ecosystem in my workflow with my MacBook,
03:24e.g. Airdrop,
03:25which can send files from my iPhone to my MacBook in seconds.
03:28Another reason is the camera not because of the pictures,
03:35because I like them better on the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL than on the iPhone,
03:39but because of the videos that I can record in log mode for my YouTube videos.
03:43It is often just too difficult to take my large camera everywhere
03:47and my iPhone is often a good substitute in those cases.
03:51Nevertheless,
03:51I am really happy to have the option of switching between different devices every now and then.
03:57And now I am curious to see what other people use as their daily driver.
04:01Hi,
04:02I'm Connie aka KC Kony
04:04and for me it's all about cars and mobility and my holy cray,
04:07my phone.
04:08We're intertwined and that is the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
04:14Yes,
04:15for me as a content creator and videographer,
04:18if I'm not stuck behind my alpha,
04:19then I use this phone for quick social content.
04:25I think the video camera on the iPhone is simply better than the 9 Plus Ultra
04:29and I also think that I can see on social media
04:31whether something was shot with the iPhone or an Android phone.
04:35I now have the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
04:38Um,
04:39for me it just wasn't worth upgrading to the 16.
04:42Um,
04:43why the Brona now?
04:44Yes,
04:45because of the three camera lenses.
04:47Um,
04:48it's especially cool for events when you want to zoom in to five times.
04:53Um,
04:54wide angle anyway in a big screen,
04:56that's why I like it.
04:58I like it when it feels good in the hand
05:00and if I'm stuck there the whole time
05:02or need to edit something spontaneously,
05:04it's obviously nicer with the big screen.
05:06And yes,
05:08I'm really attached to this Apple universe,
05:11whether it's the Apple Watch,
05:12an iPad,
05:13my Mac,
05:14my AirPods.
05:16I feel like I have everything from Apple
05:19and I also love this Apple universe,
05:21from airdrop to iCloud.
05:22I find it really useful to be able to move everything back and forth
05:27or to copy something on my Mac
05:30so that I can,
05:31for example,
05:33edit my videos for some real life project on my computer
05:36and then just copy it straight onto my phone.
05:38I find it super practical.
05:41Yes,
05:41I also see the criticism of Apple
05:43and I have to say,
05:44design-wise,
05:45it's not always the worst development,
05:47if anything ever develops at all.
05:50Um,
05:51personally,
05:51as a 90s kid,
05:53I would imagine a clunky iPhone.
05:56Finally,
05:57it's my turn again.
05:58Of course,
05:58I also have a daily driver.
06:00For me,
06:00it's the iPhone 16 Pro Max
06:02and I think you can already guess,
06:04if you follow my content,
06:06why I chose this particular phone.
06:08I'm now completely immersed in the Apple ecosystem.
06:11So,
06:11I have a Mac Mini,
06:12I have a MacBook Pro,
06:14I have an iPad,
06:15so it makes sense that I also have an iPhone.
06:17Especially for my workflow with video editing and content planning,
06:21it's actually the best setup for me.
06:23Content is the next keyword.
06:25For me,
06:25of course,
06:26the camera is also crucial,
06:27and the iPhones is really,
06:29really good.
06:30You can't complain at all.
06:31That's also one of the reasons why I chose the Pro Max.
06:35Of course,
06:36I could have chosen the Pro model,
06:38but I also wanted a large,
06:40powerful battery.
06:42Because if you do a lot of work on your phone,
06:44if being on your phone is part of your job,
06:46as silly as that may sound,
06:48and if you edit content,
06:50for example,
06:51then you need the battery to even get through the day.
06:54And the larger screen also plays a role.
06:57I know some people find the phone much too big and yes,
07:00it is unwieldy,
07:01I have to be honest.
07:02And it is heavy,
07:03too,
07:03it really is.
07:04But for me,
07:05it is simply more pleasant,
07:06especially when I'm editing videos for social media,
07:09to have a large screen on which I can see everything.
07:11You can tell that my smartphone is primarily a work tool and that's why I chose a phone that fits into my workflow,
07:21but also has a lot of hardware features that are ideal for my work.
07:24I found it really interesting to hear what kind of smartphones the other women use and,
07:31above all,
07:32why they use them and what they value most.
07:35Maybe there was something in there for you too,
07:37feel free to follow the four of them,
07:38I would also be happy if you subscribe and like,
07:40and hopefully we'll see each other in the next video.
07:42I'll see you next time.
