00:00Two former employees of a plastic food packaging company pleaded not guilty in the sessions
00:07court in Kuala Lumpur on Friday to a charge of criminal breach of trust, CBT, involving
00:13over 2.9 million ringgit worth of raw materials.
00:17Fifty-seven-year-old Ko Kian Hui, then the general manager of production at Kontipak Noron
00:22Sendirian Berhad, and thirty-four-year-old Kwa Hsian Soon, then an assistant production
00:28manager, are jointly charged with committing the offence at the company in Jalan Gerntingklang,
00:33Sirtapak, between June 25 and October 16, 2024.
00:39They were charged under Section 408 of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the
00:44same law, which provides for imprisonment of up to fourteen years, whipping, and a fine
00:50upon conviction.
00:52Judge Hamida Mohammed Darrell granted each accused bail of 30,000 ringgit with one surety,
00:58and ordered them to surrender their passports.
