00:00Over the past year I think the Philippines has emerged as the most
00:04exciting venture ecosystem in Southeast Asia so when you look at our neighbors
00:11in Southeast Asia and the different startup and venture ecosystems in all
00:14of those places and I think it's no exaggeration to say that you know the
00:18Philippines has really emerged as the most exciting said another way the one
00:23of the highest potential where investors anyone involved in the
00:28ecosystem really looking at the Philippines as you know providing the
00:32next big hope to Southeast Asia the next big story for the region not lose the
00:38lessons of the last couple of years which is that these days the types of
00:42businesses that get funded are those that are sustainable in their business model
00:47that with an eye towards monetization and profitability already out the gate and the
00:53discipline of you know not you know of building a business step-by-step in the
01:00right way with strong foundations rather than any quick fixes or quick quick
01:06turnaround those have been the lessons of the last couple of years so we should
01:10keep those and then inject a sense of the fact that you're working and
01:16building in the most exciting country in Southeast Asia so my advice is just go do
01:21it this year
