00:22Canadians are incredibly proud of being Canadian.

00:25One of the ways we define ourselves most easily is, well, we're not American.

00:29Other than Game 7 last year, this has been the highlight of my hockey career.

00:34The U.S. dominates the sports landscape. It's a world power.

00:38And this American team should be favored.

00:40Their roster has the highest combined salary in this tournament.

00:44But what we've shown when we work as a team, we're underdogs that overperform.

00:50When we think collectively and strategically, we're world class.

00:55We were of 1812. We were Olympic 4x1.

00:58We were all Donovan Bailey when he said,

01:00He didn't pull up. He's a chicken. He didn't pull up at all.

01:03He's just a chicken and is afraid to lose.

01:06I think what he should do is we should run this race over again so he can kick his ass one more time.

01:10We share the largest border and have been great allies.

01:14When in need, we put out their fires.

01:17But don't take our kindness for weakness.

01:20On the ice or in life.

01:22Man, you guys are fun to watch.

01:24Don't play for yourself. Play for your country.

01:29Historically, international sports rivalries have mirrored the geopolitical tensions of the time.

01:35Well, there is no better time for best on best.

01:39No better time to sing the whole anthem with your chest.

01:42No better time to not have the flag co-opted but for everyone to be on the same page.

01:48On the values they are proud of when they see the crest.

01:52It's an unprecedented time.

01:54But let the national team in the national pastime be both a relief and a reminder.
