00:00How's it going?
00:00It's kind of like a lasso action.
00:02Look, it's all intentional, you know?
00:04Well, I love you having fun already.
00:05I'm having so much fun.
00:07This is a great night.
00:08It's very exciting.
00:09I love country music.
00:10I love being here.
00:11I love that it's the 60th anniversary.
00:13It's incredible.
00:14I love that I get to present or introduce one of the greatest, I think, musical performances
00:19that's going to go down in history, which is Reba McIntyre, Lainey Wilson, and Miranda
00:24Lambert.
00:24Oh, my God.
00:25They're a new song, Trailblazer.
00:27Come on.
00:28It's so, it's iconic, right?
00:30Yeah.
00:31And it's so cool because it really is, for me, embracing that theme.
00:37The song is called Trailblazer because it's about the people that come before you, that
00:40allow, that clear the way so that you can do what you do.
00:44And I love that they're honoring all of that.
00:46And you talk about introducing them, but like, how does it feel for you when you come to spaces
00:49like this?
00:50And you're friends with people like that.
00:51Those are like three powerhouse women, and you can be like, hey, pals.
00:54You know what?
00:55Nashville is such an amazing community.
00:57When I started going down there about 12 years ago to write, I started being friends
01:02with the people that I was writing with.
01:04And I feel like it's such a welcoming place.
01:07And it feels like, I feel very grateful that they even opened themselves up to me.
01:12Because like, if you're starting something like songwriting, and you've already established
01:16yourself having a career in another way.
01:18I mean, how many times have we heard of Hollywood people going in and like, I'm going to be a
01:22writer, but five albums in, I wouldn't be able to do without the people in Nashville.
01:26I write most of my stuff down there.
01:28That's amazing.
01:29Yeah.
01:29Are you a journal person?
01:31Like, have you been keeping journals over the years?
01:32Or how are you mostly keeping track of your ideas now?
01:34I am so private that like, keeping the journal to me is scary.
01:38Oh, because somebody can find it.
01:39Yeah.
01:40Yeah.
01:40Exactly.
01:41Write it down.
01:41I know.
01:42But I do keep things in my notes.
01:44Oh, you're welcome.
01:45And sometimes those things become songs.
01:47Okay.
01:47And I heard that Taylor Swift keeps lists of words that she likes on Instagram.
01:52So now, I mean, I read that on Instagram.
01:54Oh, that's interesting.
01:55So I keep lists of words that I like and song ideas that I sing into my voice memos and all
02:00of that.
02:01And then everything else is up here.
02:03I love that you get advice from Taylor Swift.
02:03That's amazing.
02:04I know.
02:05Taylor Swift's epic.
02:06She's amazing.
02:07How many times did you go to the Eras Tour?
02:09Did you get to go?
02:10No, I missed Eras.
02:11Can you believe it?
02:12Every time I was in a city, she was not there.
02:15It was terrible.
02:15I'm going to go see Beyoncé on Friday night, though.
02:18Oh, my God.
02:18This Friday?
02:19Yes.
02:19Oh, well, I'll be there.
02:20You're going to be there?
02:21We'll be there.
02:22All right.
02:22I'm going to look for you.
02:23What are you wearing?
02:23We'll be on the floor dancing.
02:24What are you wearing?
02:25I want to know what your boots are good.
02:26Those boots have been around.
02:27These boots have been around.
02:28Yeah.
02:28They've been around.
02:28These are my boots.
02:29Do you have your outfit?
02:30I have an outfit.
02:31I have an outfit.
02:32I believe I'll be on theme.
02:34Okay.
02:34Love that.
02:35Can't wait to see.
