00:00You have a hiring in the NHL.
00:04We do have a hiring in the NHL this afternoon,
00:07and that is we said a couple weeks ago that Anaheim was going to interview
00:11Joel Quenville.
00:12I believe it was the first interview he's gotten since the NHL reinstated him
00:17and allowed him to get back into the league.
00:19He will get that job as Anaheim introduces him this afternoon.
00:24Look, Anaheim's a team that they've been bad for a while.
00:28I thought they were better this year.
00:30We had a lot of nights where they were home at the duck pond,
00:33and they were very spunky with some of these teams,
00:35and we both were kind of surprised that they fired Cronin.
00:39Obviously, nobody knows who he is, but the team seemed to improve.
00:44Maybe they thought they were going to get this guy,
00:46and maybe that's why they decided to fire him
00:48because now you take a Stanley Cup-winning head coach
00:52who's dying to get back in the game,
00:54and you put him with that young roster in Anaheim,
00:58and that could be a very nice mix for them.
01:01Listen, I hate to say it, but I said this before.
01:04He didn't rape anybody, okay?
01:07So he's a great coach.
01:09He got blamed for all of that sex scandal in Chicago,
01:12and you got to blame somebody.
01:17You know, Bowman took a hit.
01:18He took a hit.
01:19They all got fired.
01:21They all lost their careers for a while,
01:23but he is a fantastic coach.
01:26I already said it, that he would get hired instantaneously there,
01:31or, you know, I'd take him in Pittsburgh in five seconds
01:34because I, you know, I don't have any morals about this stuff.
01:39I mean, these kids did this.
01:41These players did this.
01:42They're the ones that were doing it.
01:45You know, it's no different than hazing.
01:47You know, they blame the adult.
01:48They blame the coach, and these kids are torturing other kids,
01:52raping them and everything else.
01:54I mean, the same thing happened with that scene with the lacrosse team
01:57in the last two weeks.
01:59They took some kid out in the woods and tortured him,
02:01and they're all arrested.
02:03They all got – they were going to face felony charges.
02:05They all got misdemeanors, which I thought was a joke.
02:08But, you know, the hockey scandal, not only this,
02:11how about in the queue?
02:14They can't even – they can't even convict them, right?
02:17They can't even convict them because they can't even get a jury to convict them.
02:22They had a hung jury, a mistrial.
02:26They can't even get a jury together to convict these kids.
02:29But you're going to blame this guy for what happened in Chicago?
02:33They've had so many sex scandals now in hockey.
02:35It really freaks me out because, you know, I never remembered any of that stuff ever,
02:43that, like, players were, you know, raping other players and stuff like that.
02:49This stuff's, like, you know, in the last 15 years.
02:52This stuff, in my view, you never heard of this stuff 25, 30 years ago, Mike.
02:56That's all there is to it.
02:57When have you ever heard of that happening in an NHL locker room
03:02or in a minor league locker room, even ever, until in the last 10 years?
03:07Like, it's pervert city out there now.
03:09I have no idea what to say.
03:11But I – you know, he took the fall.
03:14But – and I don't want to – like, I'm not supporting him.
03:17I just think that, you know, let's get real here.
03:20He wasn't raping anybody.
03:22So blame him all you want.
03:24He got hired today, and he's back in the NHL.
03:26It didn't take long, did it?
03:27And I'll tell you another thing.
03:28They recycled coaches in that league like nobody's business,
03:32including guys that were involved in sex scandals.
03:35So take a real good, fat, juicy look at what happened.
03:39I mean, the guy – the guy got hired.
03:41Like, that's like, you know, hiring Jeffrey Dahmer to be your head coach.
03:46What is next?
