00:01As Catholics, we're happy that there's a new hope.
00:04What was your initial reaction when you heard it?
00:07I mean, I kind of, unfortunately, I swore in a good way that this was beeping good.
00:13Were you in your office?
00:14I was in my office. It's kind of weird, obviously, with, you know, talking about a holy person at the same time.
00:19Sorry, I'll ask her to forget this later.
00:21You know, I think it may, you know, help the church, I think, move more into the modern era and, you know, I think, help it survive.
00:29I mean, it is going through tough times.
00:33Unbelievable. I'm so excited. I've been telling folks they'll never pick an American Cardinal to be the Pope.
00:39And I thought, you know, maybe somewhere else, but probably back to Europe.
00:45So this is so exciting. I can't believe it.
00:47I was thinking maybe Cardinal Dolan, who I've met and who I love.
00:50But this is phenomenal.
00:52I mean, I think American Catholics are just going to be thrilled.
00:55Well, I know they are. They're just thrilled.
00:57This is super exciting. And no, if you'd have told me ahead of time, I'd say, no way, never happened.
01:02This is phenomenal.
01:03As an American Catholic, I am incredibly excited about a Catholic Pope, as I think many Catholics across our country are.
01:11Do you think that he would come and visit?
01:13I hope he would come and visit.
01:15Obviously, being from Chicago, I imagine he's probably a Cubs fan, which doesn't sit that well with me, but it'll be okay.
01:27It'll be okay.
01:29Okay.
