00:00I give the floor to Rishabh.
00:03Good evening, this is Rishabh from Times Now.
00:06I just wanted to understand, as per the press release that has been released earlier today,
00:11it says that we have successfully hit at the air defense of Lahore.
00:16Does it give our forces a better chance in case of further escalation?
00:22And are there other air defense places as well at strategic location that were targeted?
00:28Rishabh, you are violating the first rule that I set out at the end of my remarks.
00:36The press release that has been issued by the Ministry of Defense today speaks for itself.
00:42It is related to operational matters.
00:45It's been released by the Ministry of Defense.
00:48As more information becomes available, it will be released at the appropriate time.
00:53Once again, please don't go into operational details at this point in time,
00:57because this is a constantly evolving situation.
01:03Yeah, go ahead.
01:05Secretary Smita Sharma, just wanted to ask,
01:07the Pakistani Minister Ishak Dar in an interview has claimed that
01:11the national security advisors of India and Pakistan have spoken to each other,
01:15if you could confirm or deny.
01:17And is complete severance of diplomatic ties with Pakistan also on the table?
01:21I have no information with regard to contacts between the two national security advisors.
01:27Insofar as diplomatic relations are concerned, you have seen the steps that were announced in response to the following the meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security on the 23rd of April.
01:41There are no further steps that are under consideration at this moment in time.
01:47Yeah.
01:49Right.
01:50Foreign Secretary, my name is Manish.
01:53I am from TV9.
01:54And you have told yourself that the misinformation is coming from the cross-border.
01:59I am from the other side of the country that has been implemented.
02:02The misinformation is coming from the Pakistan and the defense minister to the Pakistan.
02:08Some of them have been given us through this message to the Pakistan.
02:10We have found that the misinformation is coming from the Pakistan.
02:12In the Pakistan, we have seen the misinformation as well.
02:14social media
02:14we saw these
02:15so if you can say something
02:18so that they can understand
02:20that propaganda is not going to happen
02:22look at it
02:23when it's right
02:23so we will not think about it
02:26but
02:29the question is
02:31that
02:32the Prime Minister
02:33and the Prime Minister
02:36and the Prime Minister
02:36and the Prime Minister
02:38are talking about it
02:40so
02:41this is not a problem
02:44this is a country
02:46which has
02:48its own
02:50the same
02:51the same
02:52when the Pakistanis
02:55had a speech
02:57in Kashmir
02:57to talk about it
02:59so
03:00they had no
03:02to talk about it
03:02that they didn't say anything
03:04that they didn't give us
03:05these people who were gone
03:07they were in the Qabayli
03:07they were in the Qabayli
03:08So when our force reached the UN and the people of the UN and the people of the UN, the people of the UN, they saw that there was a Pakistani force that came out.
03:20After that, Pakistan had to look at the eyes and they had to believe that their force was there.
03:27So this journey started 75 years ago.
03:33So I am not surprised that this kind of disinformation is being indulged in.
03:38Yes, Sidhan.
03:40Sir, Sidhan from Vion.
03:42Sir, we have seen a lot of negative comments coming from the Pakistani military of escalation.
03:49If tomorrow there is an escalation, there are strikes, we know one attempt has been thwarted,
03:54what will be the Indian response to those attempts of creating more escalation?
03:59Because it is looking like it is going towards more escalation.
04:03And my second question is, are any other world power essentially, the P5 countries, the West Asian countries reaching out to deescalate the current situation?
04:14Look, on escalation, we have already made our stance clear.
04:18I mean, there are two basic points.
04:20First of all, it is Pakistan that escalated on the 22nd of April.
04:25We are only responding to that escalation.
04:28And then what we have said yesterday and what my colleagues have said today, that now if there is an attempt at further escalation by Pakistan,
04:37it will be responded to in an appropriate domain.
04:42And therefore, the choice is entirely that of Pakistan to make.
04:48As to your second question, I don't think I can do better than to point you in the direction of the statements that are being made from practically every chancellery in the world,
04:59and the sentiment that they are carrying, that sentiment essentially and for the major portion is support for the government of India in the context of the condemnation of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on the 22nd of April.
05:16There is wide recognition of the government of India's right to respond to these attacks in self-defense.
05:23And, of course, a desire to ensure that there is not further escalation.
05:30I think these statements speak for themselves.
05:33Sir, this is Maasami from India today.
05:38Now, in the all-party meeting, we have learned that the Defense Minister has said that, you know, in the Operation Sindur, almost 100 terrorists were killed.
05:49Would we have any details about what is the number like and also about if there were any big faces, masterminds, terrorist masterminds who were, in fact, killed?
06:00There is also a report that Masood Hazar's family's 10 members have been killed and Rao Fazgar, who was actually the mastermind of Pulwama, he's also been badly, severely injured.
06:13I don't have information at this point in time to share with you on these issues.
06:19But, as I said, I think, you know, there is so much information out there on television, in the news media, in social media, that it sometimes looks like a long time has passed since this.
06:31Please understand that slightly over 36 hours only have passed since this operation was undertaken.
06:38Let us have some patience.
06:40Information will come out.
06:41It will be shared in due time.
06:43Shadi.
06:44Thank you, Foreign Secretary.
06:49Shruti Ranjan from Bloomberg.
06:50Sir, could you give us any understanding whether India has moved the IMF or the World Bank to kind of, you know, sensitize them about the talk, the bailout that Pakistan has and, you know, the kind of stuff that the government, Pakistan government is doing?
07:07Look, we have an executive director at the IMF.
07:13Tomorrow, there is a meeting of the board of the IMF.
07:17And I'm sure that our executive director will put forward India's position.
07:24The decisions of the board are a different matter.
07:29You know the process through which they are made.
07:32But I think the case with regard to Pakistan should be self-evident to those people who generously open their pockets to bailout this country.
07:45And since you are from Bloomberg, I think you would have the data on how many IMF bailout programs have been, very good, thank you, have been sanctioned in the space of the last three decades.
08:00And I think you would also have an idea of how many of those programs have actually reached successful conclusion.
08:04Probably not many.
08:05So, I think this is a decision that board members have to take by looking deep within themselves and looking at the facts.
08:14So, we can, we can.
08:15One last question, sir.
08:17Yeah, one last question.
08:19Foreign Secretary, I'm Sidhan from CNN News 18.
08:23I would like to know since it's an opportunity to speak to you.
08:26I would like to know the response coming from United States since last three weeks.
08:30Saudi Arabia, Qatar.
08:32In fact, Prime Minister Modi spoke to Qatar before the strikes that evening.
08:37Perhaps, how do you read the support coming from these countries?
08:40Perhaps, traditionally, they were seen on the other side.
08:43This time around, their statements are strong-worded.
08:46In fact, India-Saudi joint statement also had a very strong condemnation, strong-worded condemnation.
08:52United States at all levels have condemned the attack and have extended support.
08:56In fact, Saudi Foreign, Deputy Foreign Minister is in India.
08:59He just met EMS Jayshank.
09:00Also, if you could shed some light on his visit, his meeting with EMS Jayshank.
09:04In fact, they've also been told that he met Prime Minister Modi.
09:08Look, all the countries that you've named and many others, we have been in touch with them.
09:13The Prime Minister has spoken to a large number of world leaders.
09:17A large number of world leaders have called him, as have called Modi.
09:21And the external affairs minister.
09:24As we speak, there are conversations going on today as well with world leaders.
09:30And your assessment or conclusion of the general tenor of these messages is very much on point.
09:40And I think this is a recognition of the fact, firstly, of the barbaric nature, the unprecedented nature and character and features of the attack in Pehelgaan, and a recognition of India's right to respond to this.
09:57And also a recognition of the fact that in responding, we have been nothing but responsible.
10:03And have done so in a restraint, in a measured, and in a non-escalatory manner.
10:10I think that counts for something.
10:12People have taken that into account.
10:13And that is what is explaining the kinds of reactions that we are seeing.
10:17And we appreciate the sentiments and the statements that have been made by the vast majority of world leaders.
10:25Yes, the Saudi minister of state for foreign affairs is in Delhi.
10:31He had a meeting with the external affairs minister earlier today.
10:35I don't have further details at this moment.
10:37But if there are details, the ministry will share them.
10:39And again, I do.
10:48For the forgiveness calendar, I do not super-work裡, I don't frombbera.
10:51But I think there are some of those different aspects that have seen as long as I do Cooper.
10:56paulo apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple apple.
11:05For the purpose of this assignment, I think so.
