00:00I'm just wondering how the Unifil Peacekeepers patrol it. I mean, it's still a long area. I mean, are they using presumably vehicles? Any aerial patrols? Is some of it done on foot?
00:14For us right now, it's mainly done in vehicles for safety reasons, because we have actually a lot of the roads that cross our area of operations are now impassable.
00:22We've seen unexploded ordinances that have been left behind, for example, bombs that have been dropped that didn't explode.
00:29So for safety reasons, peacekeepers are generally in vehicles and often in armored vehicles close to the blue line, just because of the danger that these things present.
00:37And also because of the risk of misunderstanding, again, because there still remain Israeli troops who are here in Lebanese territory.
00:45We don't want to engage in any misunderstandings that might put our peacekeepers in danger.
00:50So peacekeepers are patrolling. They're keeping an eye out. We're undertaking counter-rocket launching operations.
00:56We're undertaking activities to clear the roads to ensure that peacekeepers have access to the areas that they want to patrol and that they want to monitor.
01:04And so all of these activities continue to take place. But for safety reasons, most of our patrols are happening by vehicle.
01:12And if there are not many patrols happening on foot, but if they are, they're further from the blue line.
