00:00To follow up on that GAO report, the more recent version has about $31 billion, if I recall,
00:04and about 80% of that is essentially documentation paperwork errors.
00:09That still leaves like $6 billion a year.
00:11They could be abusive or fraud.
00:14Is that the kind of thing Democrats are willing to look at,
00:16or is the reconciliation process too partisan and you can't even go there?
00:21Well, the reconciliation process is hyper-partisan,
00:23and it's all being done in service of enacting extreme right-wing policy proposals
00:31that they want to visit upon the American people,
00:34in many instances doing great damage to the American people in rural America
00:39or the heartland of America, small-town America, urban America,
00:43and suburban and exurban America as well.
00:46We have made clear from the very beginning that we're interested in trying to find
00:51any bipartisan common ground to solve problems on behalf of the American people,
00:56including making the federal government the most efficient that it can be.
01:01We also want to bring about an affordable economy
01:04that actually makes life better for everyday Americans.
01:07Nothing in this reconciliation process is designed to actually solve problems
01:13for everyday Americans, improve the economy, or lower costs.
01:17In fact, what we see from Donald Trump and Republicans
01:20is that they actually are crashing the economy in real time,
01:25raising costs through their reckless tariff scheme,
01:28and driving us toward a recession.
01:32And on top of all the damage that they're doing relative to the economy,
01:38they want to jam this extreme budget down the throats of the American people
01:41that will take away health care and nutritional assistance,
01:45which is why we're just urging a handful of Republicans
01:49to join us on behalf of the American people
01:53so that Congress gets the message,
01:57hands off Medicaid and SNAP.
02:01Thanks, guys.
