00:00Leading the Global Economic Order, a book by economist Dr. S.P. Sharma was released in New Delhi.
00:08It outlines India's journey from the 1991 economic reforms to recent initiatives like
00:15Make in India, Atmanirbar Bharat and the Production-Linked Incentive Scheme.
00:20The book highlights seven focus areas shaping India's path to becoming a global economic
00:27superpower, economic resilience, global positioning, structural reforms, foreign trade, global
00:34alliances and emerging sectors such as AI, digital economy and start-ups.
00:42My book on Vexit Bharat, India at the rate of 2047, Leading the Global Economic Change, emphasizes
00:50on these seven chapters including the resilience of the economy, India's position in the global
00:56economy and India's structural reforms, then India's foreign trade trajectory and India's
01:02global alliances and finally the new economic areas like the artificial intelligence, digital
01:09economy, start-ups.
01:12So as India's nature is to move from slow to steady and fast to fastest and we have observed
01:18the last 77 years trajectory that is very glorious trajectory of the Indian economy.
01:23So I have tried to include all the parameters starting from the 1950s, 60s to the recent years that
01:34we took reforms in 1991, LPG reforms, liberalization, privatization and globalization reforms.
01:41At the launch event attended by leading industry figures, the book was praised for its holistic
01:47approach, described as a complete perspective on India's role in the global order.
01:52A panel discussion highlighted India's resilient progress toward achieving the goal of Vexit Bharat
01:58by 2047.
01:59It is a very comprehensive, very holistic book, which is a great attempt, very empirical, some
02:08analytical and it has given a complete perspective as to how India is going to be in the global
02:16world order in 2047. I think which is where I think we want to have our Vexit Bharat. It covers
02:23from India's position in the global ecosystem and as you are seeing that India with every
02:34coming day is getting stronger. The book has told about how we became from a low economy to
02:42now about 4 trillion economy and how we become to, you know, some estimates say 35 to 55, you
02:49know, trillion economy by 2047. So I think the book summarizes all these things.
02:55A lot is already happening towards that vision. They talked about the PLI scheme, Make in India,
03:02Aatma, Nirvar, Bharat. Export performance India is very good. And what has happened recently
03:08is the trade deals that we are having. This will go a very long way in boosting global exports
03:14and foreign direct investment for India. So we are moving very well towards that vision in
03:19economic terms. Other than economic terms, if we look at it in terms of soft power, that way
03:25also India is doing very well. As India advances towards its Vexit Bharat vision, India at 2047
03:35provides a clear roadmap of the reforms and innovations needed to become a global economic superpower.
