00:11A day of reverence and remembrance of mourning and of pride.

00:18It marks not only the end of the most brutal war in human history,

00:25but the triumph of humanity of our Nazi tyranny.

00:30We remember the fallen and the grave on this day,

00:35those who fought on distant fronts and in besieged cities,

00:41in burning villages and ruined schools and hospitals.

00:44Many of us have come this morning with portraits of their fathers,

00:49their grandfathers, great-grandparents.

00:55As a part of the immortal regiment, movement.

01:00A profoundly touching tradition that has grown from the Russian soil

01:05and now lives on in many corners of the world.

01:09It is this memory that binds us.
