Arthur Ferguson opened Ferguson’s Shop in Millom, Cumbria, in the 1950s and has run it ever since.
The great-grandfather, who served in WWII, still enjoys helping customers and says he likes the variety of stock.
His son David, 62, says even if Arthur retired, he’d still show up to check everything’s running properly.
Arthur also once drove his caravan from Cumbria to Venice and loves playing the organ.
