00:00I think well first I did I grew up going to Philadelphia a lot in fact a lot of
00:05my core memories of was took place in in Philly it was a very you know closely
00:14knit community and I really enjoyed being in the big city when I was younger
00:18and I had no idea about Kensington I was in and around Temple University a lot
00:24you know I would I would visit South Street you know I knew all the the cool
00:28spots but I didn't I was not familiar with Kensington in fact the first time I
00:33drove through was with with the create the show's creator last year it made it
00:39even more necessary to be in this show and to to portray this this person that's
00:48lives in and around Kensington because it is a resilient community in this community
00:53that people like to avoid and ignore and and it's not and then these aren't
01:01people to be feared this is not a community be feared it's a community to
01:04spotlight and without exploiting and and I thought it I thought we I thought Liz
01:10Moore wrote a really incredible book and they adapted to a really incredible script
01:14with Nikki Toscano to kind of there was a there's a fine line and and a very
01:19specific way to tell this story and I thought they did it beautifully by by
01:22really just spotlighting this community and that's why I wanted to do it and I
01:27I love I love portraying Pennsylvania I love portraying Philly especially
01:31because it's so close to my heart
