00:00Tell me, how many people are you addressing today?
00:02Two. I have Jasmine Tewks and I have Tiana Taylor.
00:06I see Jasmine. She'll have on what I call, she has on Harlem Nights.
00:12Okay, so she's going to be all in cream.
00:15So make sure you ask her who she's wearing. She'll tell you it's me.
00:20Now, how long ago did you start working on these legs?
00:24Some of them were last minute, but me and Tiana have been talking about it for weeks and weeks,
00:28maybe three months. Yeah.
00:31When you think about black dandyism, what was your first exposure to that kind of culture and context?
00:38Well, you know, I feel like I've been dressing the dandies like my whole career.
00:41You know, there is a time in Malcolm X's life when he was a dandy, you know, in the Rosewood Ballroom.
00:47And, you know, it's identity.
00:49And that's really how we tell the story of how, you know, the times change and we move through this culture,
00:56you know, through dandyism. It's a big part of it, you know.
00:59And that's who we admire in our families, of our friends.
01:04And it's very important that we bring Black Fast Fork identity to the Met Gala.
01:09Very important.
