In his speech receiving the JFK Profile in Courage Award on Sunday, former Vice President Mike Pence discussed places where he has differences with members of his party.

00:00To give credit where credit is due, but also to say in these divided times, in these anxious days,
00:09I know in my heart that we will find our way forward as one nation.
00:18Now, people who know me know I'm a conservative, but I'm not in a bad mood about it.
00:23I believe in a strong defense, limited government, the right to life, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that might put me in the minority in this realm.
00:37But I also have differences with members of my own party on spending, tariffs, and my belief that America is the leader of the free world
00:47and must continue to stand with Ukraine until the Russian invasion is repelled and a just and lasting peace is secure.
00:59So we all have our differences, but I will always believe that there is more that unites us in this country than could ever divide us.
