00:09:18Keep maximizing that.

00:09:26I knew a lot of moves and stuff.
00:09:27I think I could have gone out and executed whatever match.

00:09:32But I think figuring out how to add more to it.
00:09:35Like how to add a little bit of character.

00:09:39Really let that emotion come out.
00:09:41Ultimately what it was is just like letting that intensity come out in the matches.
00:09:45And how much that can add to the match as a whole.

00:13:30And I felt like, you know, in that moment, he just discredited it all. Like,
00:13:35as if I just gave up, as if I quit and turned my back on everybody.
00:13:38After the interviews, the future greats have left the legends with a lot to think about.
00:13:49The matches are set. And kicking us off is Chris Island against Troy Yearwood.
00:13:57He is my teammate and we are going to work very well together, but I'm going to outshine him of what I do
00:14:02myself, my work, and he's going to try to outshine me. And that's what Brotherhood is all about.

00:14:24It is playoff time for the men this week. Jeremy, after last week, moving to this week,
00:14:29the pressure is on, the lights are bright, and there's big decisions to be made here tonight.

00:15:24Last week, we saw four women get eliminated.
00:15:27Team Mickey, she had a tough decision to make,
00:15:29choosing Danny Sikalski over Serena Linton tonight.
00:15:33She's going to have to choose between Chris Island or Troy Erwin.
00:15:36Both these two not giving up an inch, but when we talk about Chris Island,
00:15:40still relatively new to the performance center.
00:15:43High energy, a lot of potential when he steps through those ropes.
00:15:47Oh, yeah.
00:15:48Push, push, push.
00:15:49All right, all right.
00:15:50What are you doing?

00:16:00and back to a little bit of a stalemate between these two.
00:16:05Yearwood did have a bit of a breakout last weekend,
00:16:08two weeks ago in the tag team matches with his partner, Chris Island.
00:16:12And that's what's so unique about this pairing.
00:16:14They were just partners two weeks ago here on LFG.
00:16:16Well, as we mentioned before, you know, this is a team sport with individual outcomes.
00:16:21And one of these two will go home and give us process.
00:16:24That's a shoot, hip lock table.
00:16:26I like that, hip lock, I like that.
00:16:29You know, it's the basics.
00:16:30You got to learn the basics out of the game.
00:16:32Chris Island has taken this very quickly so far since his time in the performance center.

00:16:37I wanted to give Troy a challenge of seeing him as a heel to see if that would bring up.

00:16:45Now that is a great challenge.
00:16:47But another challenge, going back to that teammate aspect,
00:16:50is these are two individuals who have gotten a strong bond even outside of the performance center.
00:16:56But they know that only one can win that contract.
00:17:00One could be maybe that next NXT superstar.
00:17:03So this is part of the mental game of what happens inside the squared circle.
00:17:08Well, we're an athlete that succeeded and has gone as far as these two have.
00:17:12There is a competitive nature to you that is unavoidable.
00:17:15Knowing that one person will go on, one will go home, no matter how good the friendship is,
00:17:20the bond, the times you have outside the ring together.
00:17:23Whatever it is, it comes to an end because at the end of the day, one will advance, one will go home.
00:17:29And that will drastically change the trajectory of their careers.
00:17:32Island into the cover, hook to the leg, and it hasn't been all great for Island.
00:17:35He's had his run-ins with other athletes in LFG, such as Jasper Troy, who we'll see later on tonight.

00:18:09There's a leaderboard of different feats of strength inside the performance center.
00:18:13Troy Yearwood's name is on nine of the 13 of those accolades on that wall right now.
00:18:19But when you look at it a little bit deeper, J.B., I mean, is he a perfect example about how professional wrestling is more than just moves?

00:18:28It's about a presentation.

00:18:30Dare say, Troy Yearwood's probably showing more character now than he has throughout the course of this journey.
00:18:36I dare say, Mickie James making the decision to kind of change his direction has probably served him pretty well so far tonight.

00:18:46And again, when we're in this stage of the game, playoff atmosphere, every little detail, every little slip, it's magnified in these moments.
00:18:56Mickie James, much like all the other legends that are looking on right now, have a huge decision to make by the end of tonight as Yearwood.

00:24:49There was something The Undertaker said about Holyfield that I want to throw to you, Jeremy.
00:24:54He said that Holyfield, of course, has the pedigree, but his biggest stumbling block is going to be he's so new to this profession.

00:25:06I have to agree, in fact, that in a very short time, Elijah Holyfield has turned heads in all the right ways.

00:25:29With all of what I just said about The Undertaker, we should note, or I should note,
00:25:33that it was Holyfield who won Team Taker a point in his debuting match against Anthony Luke.
00:25:38He's right back in, paced her, quick and big hit toss by Holyfield who really,
00:25:45almost standing in the center of the ring like a statue.
00:25:47He is a commanding individual.
00:25:50He certainly is, and while Shiloh Hill has had the most amount of matches in ring time here on LFG,
00:25:54Elijah Holyfield has a very different step.
00:25:59Man, he could have thrown his cricket back out right there.
00:26:02I felt that.
00:26:03He certainly did.
00:26:03In a very short time, Elijah Holyfield, as I said, has won the hearts,
00:26:07and it really is universally liked.
00:26:10If I can pull the curtain back a little bit here on LFG,
00:26:12in the performance center, the coaches love him.
00:26:14His training ethic, his demeanor, one of those things, those it factors,
00:26:18when you have the entire performance center on your side and the positions you've seen,
00:26:22I dare say your chances are going to be a lot better.
00:26:26He's going to that place.
00:26:28Well, the one issue for Hill is he needs to realize that every moment here on LFG is an opportunity.
00:26:34It's an opportunity to prove yourself into the cover hook of the leg
00:26:36and a kick out to the legends.
00:26:38I mean, go back to when CM Punk was here,
00:26:41and Hill didn't want to cut a promo, didn't want to pick up the microphone,
00:26:44didn't want to speak up.
