Scientists say a brand-new ocean is slowly forming as the continent breaks into pieces — but don’t worry, it’s gonna take millions of years. It’s happening along something called the East African Rift, where the ground is cracking and pulling away. Meanwhile, other crazy stuff is going on with the continents too, like parts of California slowly sliding north thanks to the San Andreas Fault. Some scientists even think all the continents might smoosh back together one day into a giant supercontinent!
