Massive fire in a six- storey building of Kanpur’s Chamanganj area kills 5 of same family

Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), May 05, 2025 (ANI): A massive fire broke out in a six-storey building in Chaman Ganj area of Kanpur city on May 04. Fire tenders reached at the spot to control the condition. A family member of the deceased shared that the fire took place due to short circuit, five of the members of his family including three children have died. He said, "Fire broke out due to a short circuit in the building. Five people, including three children have died...The incident took place between 8.30-8.45 pm last night..."ACP Kanpur Tej Bahadur Singh said, "A total of five people have lost their lives in the fire incident, including Danish, his wife and three children. The fire has been controlled."
